i see a lot of girl group reactions on your channel, but no snsd (girls generation). you should look into them, you will probably like a few of their songs. i got a boy, run devil run, and the boys are some of my favorites.

Now you've found my second favorite K-pop group after Mamamoo! IDLE is so talented, and their songs are phenomenal. Soojin was is my bias here, then yuqi and soyeon!!

Thank you for the comment! I can see why Soojin was many people's bias. Yuqi just really stands out to me vocally. I don't know what it is about full toned women singers that appeals to me, and her dancing skills are really good. From what I saw in the guide, Shuhua's dancing skills are probably my favorite til I can see more of their choreo.

I think you should watch ‘The rise of (G)-Idle’ if you want to know more about these girls. It was made before Soojin left the group, and lots of things have happened since then. But it is still very good and it tells a story of how I-dle started and what made them so unique and successful. It’s a very good video and most neverlands would recommend it. And btw there are clips of Queendom there, so if you don’t want to be spoiled you may skip that part

58:07, That's Shuhua, not Yuqi. But as the guide said, she is a vocal chameleon. Except for Minnie, I've confused her with all the other girls at least once.

Minnie is probably the one of the best celebrity friends of Lisa so yes they are quite similar. You can almost find then together going out somewhere every other week if they are in Korea.

@@drkmonn9153 i used the word celebrity as i dont know Lisa personally so she could have lot of non celebrity friends that are closer to her. Even among celebrity friends there could be someone very close to her that we don't know about. I just can't say it with certainty as we only know her as an Blackpink member and not her personal life.

You'll definitely have to check out Yuqi's (pronounced Oogie) solos. Giant is one of my favorite songs and never fails to get me in the feels. I can watch that video any time, even at my lowest, and feel inspired and powerful by the end of the song. Her covers are well worth listening to as well, such as Rise Up, Shallow, and Easy On Me. She is an amazing vocalist!

For some reason Miyeon always reminds me of Jisoo. Similar vocal style, similar aesthetic of classy sophisticated visual, and not-so-secretly a crack head at heart. 😂

I didn't like (G)I-dle at first and they grew on me over time but continually referencing themselves as the best and queens in their lyrics of almost all of their recent releases have again put me off them. I can't handle Shuhua's whiny nasally high pitched voice and her snobby attitude, Miyeon's average singing, dancing and acting skills and Soyeon's nasally voice and copycat rapping style of CL and her ex label mate Hyuna. Soojin was my bias until she was unfairly forced to leave and now Minnie is my bias. I have all their albums but I'm not an avid follower of their activities or live stages such as when I saw them at KpopFest in Frankfurt, Germany in May last year. Especially compared to Mamamoo and Dreamcatcher who also performed at that festival. Yes, that's Moonbyul. It's from the tv competition show Queendom and you also saw the same clip in Moonbyul's part of Purple Hawke's Introduction To Mamamoo guide. No, that's not an interview on Hwasa's channel. It's from the tv variety show called I Live Alone and Hwasa is just a regular cast member on that show.

I will have to see how the rest of their music sounds but currently Hwaa and Nxde I have really liked. Yuqi so far has my attention and I do like Shuhua's dancing. I couldn't really hone in on her vocals in the the MVs and the examples given in the guide, the quality wasn't the best. I'm not going to lie, when seeing Idols in variety content with other groups I'm not totally familiar with, like Moonbyul with (G)I-dle on the competition, I will likely not remember or catch it, lol. But if I see DC or MMM members in other groups variety content, I think I have gotten pretty good at spotting them. That's good to know about I Live Alone, now if I want to see more of Hwa Sa I can just throw that on, lol

@@seattleinsomnia I missed talking about Yuqi. She is my second bias after Minnie. She is a natural comedienne. She hosted a show called Learn Way where similar to Solar's challenges on her Solarsido channel, Yuqi would try to learn new things. She was hilarious in it. The second season was hosted by ex Lovelyz member Mijoo until the show ultimately ended. It gave birth to the legendary "Yuqi Powerrrrrr" catchphrase. I may have sounded a bit harsh about three of the members in my earlier comment but I still respect them and their contributions to the group, especially Soyeon who writes, composes and produces all the groups songs. Only seasoned kpop fans usually pick up similarities and influences between 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation groups. As you explore more of CL and 2NE1 and Hyuna (ex 4minute member and (G)I-dle label mate) you'll notice how much alike they sound.

I know there are plenty of talented rappers out there, and i love listening to them, but... For me Soyeon and Moonbyul are both on the next level. They are absolute beasts at rapping that can make your jaw drop, but also write, compose, and damn near everything else at a high level also. They are both ARTISTS of the highest caliber. There's good, then there's great, then there's Moonbyul and Soyeon.

I like what I saw of Soyeon, I just need to get more of a listen. In my Favorite Rappers right now: Dami (from Dreamcatcher), Moonbyul and Hwa Sa, Jurin (from XG) and Cocona (from XG), and CL.

@jakemyers7442 XG really are a great group. They are young but hungry. They just performed in NYC. I will be doing a My Choice Wed spotlight of their 4 main tracks next week. But if you want to watch them sooner by all means. Tippy Toes was their debut Single and is still my personal favorite.

​@@seattleinsomnia it's pretty widely accepted that Soyeon is the best female rapper objectively in K-pop. She just does things no other female rapper will ever try to do in k-pop.i definitely recommend her rap stuff.
