Down to earth skipper, no frills craft steeped in history, what could be better?! . Thanks for this very interesting vid also its great to see such a craft with a back drop of 21st century buildings.

Great video. Good balance between the skipper, the history and the juxtapositioning of old and new on the river. Thanks.

I thought you might be - would you like an invite to the leaving party?
@bowman266 жыл бұрын
I was at an EU party the other day. There were Scottish, Irish, Welsh and English people. Everyone had to leave the party because the English insisted...

I really enjoy these old ships. The wood vessel seems so cozy, though I don't care much for that galley head combo much.

There is such a wide range of classic yachts that are still around and their stories, as well as their caretaker's stories are truly amazing to hear. Thank you so much for sharing these stories. What is the song played in the introduction of most of your videos?

What a nice chap, and the boats not too bad either. 35k needed to purchase and another 35k to maintain her over say 10 years or so, i do hope she finds a new owner who keeps her in good shape.

What marinade do you like for dog BBQ? They are very popular in Laos.

Some people have obviously been affected by debilitating circumstances in their lives. This obsessive man is one of them. Let's all go sailing on the Thames.

How come everyone on this channel uses Imperial instead of metric, is it some sort of traditional boat thing?
@philipritson88216 жыл бұрын
Britain embraced metric in the 70s reluctantly. We still travel in Miles per Hour for example. People of a certain age and those who learned from them prefer the imperial system.

These boats were built when boats were built of timber, you know what you used and your boat was 30ft, end of.
@ladygardener1005 жыл бұрын
All the machine tooling was in inches and thous, so even today when buying sheets, it's often bought in metric, but will be "odd" numbers 'cos they are eg 6 x 4 feet, 2 by 1 inches!

We watch this to see the boats so take your idiot wide angle/fish eye lens and throw it in the water. It distorts everything we want to see.
