Feels good to be back on KZbin - Appreciate all the kind comments and messages, go run up Episodes Project!

They did this because they know your brand would go big one day and they can’t let that happen because no one would buy from them anymore!

Appreciate the kind words man! So gutted it had to end, what do you think of the new brand Episodes Project?
@dereknguyen24492 жыл бұрын
I wish this didn’t happen, but if you can build a good brand once, you can do it again. This time you have experience and connects. You are 100% on the right path otherwise they wouldn’t have come for you. Looking forward to your next up and coming project

I bought a pair of trousers a while back from a company called plisse productions, they sold a similar product. Their website disappeared after a short while. It’s really sad that Issey Miyake are coming after small up and coming brands especially when like you said there’s so many alternates available in well known high street brands. I was actually interested in purchasing a pair from Issey Miyake too but after hearing this I think I’ll pass. Good luck with your new brand man!

crazy I warned you about this potentially happening, with the same situation happened to CL owner, whether your small fish in a big pond or big fish in a small pond I knew they’d come for you regardless but glad it’s all settled & the new brand will bring you even more success man, wishing you the best.

Such a shame this is how the Ultra Pleats story ended. But every cloud has a silver lining, I guess. You're doing bits tho! Keep at it :)
@PaydayPickups2 жыл бұрын
yeah very sad times but we move forward! thanks bro!
@renocicchi73462 жыл бұрын
After making a new clothing business and when you have enough money to protect yourself legally, do ultra pleats again! I can’t believe we have to be rich to experience justice. That’s like literally the antithesis of justice.
@ktroopa2 жыл бұрын
That is messed up that they bully smaller brands that cannot defend themselves in court. At the same time, you talk about putting hard work but you didn't even design the pants. You can't completely be a victim here.
@PaydayPickups2 жыл бұрын
Yeah very annoying, and that’s completely understandable and I agree with your point! Here’s to making Episodes Project the next big brand!
@DontAtMe2 жыл бұрын
This is why we can’t fw big brands man. Drain the life out of small businesses who cater for the people at affordable prices but not the brands that can afford the legal fees. Best of luck with your new project and let’s boycott Issey 🤣

@gpu2132 жыл бұрын
In one way I see their point, it was definitely them that popularised the design, but as you say, it's like if levis sued everyone who made jeans just because they did it first - they can't own such a basic concept as pleating, which is a construction technique, its like if a musician claimed that they "owned" the note C sharp, because they used it first, doesn't really make sense and they clearly only targeted you when many others are releasing similar designs because they knew you wouldn't be able to afford to fight them over it. Sucks but at the end of the day just keep it moving.

exactly man no point dwelling on it! Got to keep pushing forwards!

The lawsuit was unfortunate but the new brand uses unlicensed prints and artwork. Tyler durden and unlicensed frank ocean/Tyler prints just on the homepage.

If anyone wants to know the brand as he can’t legally say I’m pretty sure it’s issey miyake

Yeah, I think he could then get sued for defamation because we would all go hate on them lol

@pamwaldron25662 жыл бұрын
@@gregorypismiris5781 right? Like no one else can make shoes or pants because we did it before you. I'd probably get into trouble, because once I found out they had no legal standing, my reply would be 2 capital letters. NO.
