+Maddy West - EXACTLY! I'm 25 years old and have been an avid Coachella goer since I was 18 years old because unlike most of these people - I actually have a deep LOVE FOR MUSIC. I went to school for it mind you @ CalArts. I never missed a year until I stopped going a few years ago when I got so damn sick of how commercial it has become. It wasn't long ago where Coachella musicians were the MAIN EVENT and now they've become a SIDE SHOW next to the sponsored hotel parties, food booths, fashion highlights and the non-musical celebrities etc. Even the line-up in recent years has suffered. Most of these people don't even go for the music any more and instead go for all the commercialized bullshit! Sad!

Music festivals have never been about the music, it's about the atmosphere, the people, the experience, the artistry! You can listen to "the music" at home on a spotify playlist with probably better acoustics and sound with a good stereo system, and with no desert heat and dust, no people screaming over the music, no exorbitant ticket prices. Just because the atmosphere has changed into something you don't personally appreciate, doesn't make it bad or wrong.
