Impressive how it's learned such a long section of the music. Like, the beginning of He's A Pirate has a bit that repeats but then changes slightly - it knows when to switch. What I find interesting about this is that yes, he is imitating a sound he's heard. But you can tell that he has a faulty memory and is filling in the gaps. Which means that he is not only memorizing but also interpreting.

Benjamin Bjärnhag Exactly, but I don’t think his memory is faulty. Instead, if a person would whistle for the bird only the notes of the March that people usually sing/whistle/hum, then the bird would produce a more steady tune. He also hears the other musical instruments that people hear but usually leave out, but he doesn’t know which ones to do that to.

I've caught my cockatiels whistling things I tried to teach them months before and didn't think they remembered! So I don't think they have bad memory, they just need a refresher when they sing a song they haven't heard in awhile. I love it when they freestyle 😂
