Dbad, I’ve been watching your vids since the beginning brother (keep em coming man), seeing all these laid out is funny because you and I have most of the same blades. Maybe because we’re both fellow army grunts 👍🏻. Anyway my question for you is what future cold steel blades do you have your eye on (possibly for upcoming vids)?. For me, I have been digging those Warcraft blades. Seeing what you think of em. My most recent buy was the OSS, seeing as how you recently found some interest in double edged “dagger” type blades I do recommend it. For the price I had to. Food for thought. Again keep doing your thing my brutha I eat it up!

That's a awesome collection! I'm a big CS fan as well. I'm not sure how many I've actually had cause I lost my first collection when my place burned. I lost my second collection in a burglary so I'm working on my third collection now. I've got a couple recommendations for you I think you'd really like since like myself your into big blades. First is the 6" To Lite. Like your Luzon it's extremely fast to deploy, a real sleek and solid stiletto. The other one is the 6" Counterpoint. Imo it's one of the best large defensive blades that can do pretty much everything else well too. It has incredible penetration. I know first hand how well it works as mine tried to kill me lol. I was wearing shorts with it setting open on my thigh cause I cleaning it when my cat started to jump on a burner which was still hot. I grabbed the cat and the knife fell and stuck way over a inch into my lower leg. I totally soaked almost three rolls of paper towels and a roll of toilet paper. It took over four hours before I got the bleeding stopped and I was seriously starting to think I was going to bleed out. I probably should've got stiches but I don't normally go to see doctors. I just don't like most doctor's cause most of them seem kinda creepy to me. There's just not many doctors that are into it for the right reasons. Some are just straight up evil imo. Anyway, doing that much damage from simply falling about a foot says a lot about its effectiveness I think. You've got quite a few of their swords. How do you like the? I had a couple of real deal katanas that were stolen and I still have a Last Legend Ranger sword made for steel to steel competition and lots of machetes but I need another sword. Well I might not really need one but you know how that is lol. I like the looks of their Viking sword so I thought I'd ask you for your opinion about their swords since you have some which I'm sure you've tested. Another impressive thing they make is their MAA spears. I like them a lot better than their sheet metal spears. I can see you giving your tree a bad time with one for some reason. 😆

@@DonnieBAllDay Your cane looks like it could be pretty effective. I have a sword cane that a friend gave me but its more of a toy than anything. I do have Cold Steels axe cane which is pretty much indestructible and a serious self-defense tool you can carry anywhere. I know what you mean when it comes to Cold Steels stuff. I'd like to have a lot more of their stuff but don't have a lot of extra money. If I ever became rich I'd write them and tell them to send me two of everything they make. :)

Did you know that if you put a convex cutting edge on any of their knives they will void your warranty. They say you reprofiled the knife. "If the saber is coming this way and you're holding it this way you're still going to lose a finger" You know your body is set up to quickly turn that from vertical to horizontal right? A 1918 style trench knife isn't for that kind of knife fighting either. It's designed for those TRENCH fighting situations, where there isn't even enough room to draw a saber and you will likely find yourself grappling with a high probably that everything is wet and muddy. That handle is mostly to keep that knife from being ripped out or slipping out of your hand, not to block swords and punch people. But I digress, cold steel hasn't made a decent knife in forever, I was just here to see the peace keeper.
@DonnieBAllDay2 жыл бұрын
First, fingers are overrated. Losing one or two just makes for good video. Second, the trench blades were designed for close quarter fighting. But they were carried beyond fox holes, being a knife that served multiple purposes.
@MC-mu3nq2 жыл бұрын
@@DonnieBAllDay Donnie, I can't think of a single knife that doesn't serve multiple purposes and isn't carried beyond its original intended purpose. That guard is still designed to keep the knife in your hand, not to block with. If you want to block with a knife, get a full basket parrying dagger. Even though they were designed for blocking sword strikes, you can still make dinner with them. I do believe that people who are missing fingers may disagree with you = )

@DBAD - Hope you're doing well with your health. Prayers brother. 🙏 I've always wanted a Cold Steel Marauder, but I'm concerned the handle is too small. You're a big guy, with big hands. I have very wide hands, but only XL hands in length. All my gloves burst at the seams on the sides. My palm measures 10.5-11.0" in circumference. Will I be disappointed with a Cold Steel Marauder, or will the handle be large enough?
@DonnieBAllDay11 ай бұрын
I'm thinking you'd be fine with that grip. The only area that's tighter for mega hands would be the subhilt for your first finger. But you'd need a 16 or 17 ring size to have a problem

Which would you recommend Donnie...Cold steel frontier Bowie or the Ontario marine Raider?...overall perspective?
@DonnieBAllDay4 жыл бұрын
The Cold Steel all day. The Raider I like. The grip, not so much. Sheath for sheath, the CS is nicer, and more versatile. You can even switch to to off gun hand. Shape for shape, the CS is gorgeous and definitely wins there. The CS is a true full tang. The CS has an amazing deep full fuller. The guard on the CS is better as well as the blade finish. The black coating on the OKC will rub off with use.

Hi, bro! I think, nice collection, but I can't see few models: no bowie machete, no Recon Tanto, no Rajah2, no Peace Maker 2, no Survival Edge, no Magnum Kukri Machete, no Pendleton Lite Hunter (amazing 4116 german version), no SRK, but we are on the same point about few models: I like G.I.Tanto, I think its perfect for me. Trust Lynn - he is cool guy. I think, maybe I will buy Perfect Flight, if you are so excited about it, why not? But you must to get Recon Tanto! I can't believe, to have no! Trench knives - can you please write, what is the name of this tanto? All I wrote I have, but I have only 8 models. Here in Israel we have no to much famous brands, but I have around 100 blades. I speak only about fixed knives. Folders and balisongs I have... Many.:-) You know..:)

The trench knife is the Chaos Tanto. I did a full review on it. It performed well. Also, I did show the SRK in San Mai. It's one of my favorites. There will be more to come.

@@DonnieBAllDay Thank you for the info! See you! Chaos - awesome name! Must be good. This is the most popular brand this Cold Steel. I know, I can trust them. Did you make a video about G.I.Tanto?? I am aching to find, how much hard is that blade. Looks like its 64 HRS. And I prefer South Africa and China, more, than Taiwan. Flight and G.I. are made in China, and what can be better, than G.I. ? BTW, I have no idea, what is "G.I." means...:-( Galvanized Iron???

@Lightning Strike Thank you very much for the information! "General Infantry" sounds great! Yeah, 1055 is really one of the higher carbon steel. 1065 is a bit more. But I like this knife very much! The only problem with it is that it's very hard, 64 HRS, you don't have to sharp it at least half year. Recon Tanto is not so much hard. Anyway, I am glad to know about it. Every blade must be known! It's a part of your safety!

The greatest Katanas in the world are made in Japan. The greatest Kukris are made in Nepal. The greatest Machetes are made in Brazil.
