Definitely a case of "you got it right the first time". I get that they were going for a cleaner, hockey traditional look with the howling coyote, but the kachina has so much more character and stands out more. The purple space coyote jersey is sweet.

In my opinion all the Coyotes jerseys have been great. I even like their new third jersey which I also own. Also Shannon one time customs tried making me pay duties and taxes on a jersey I picked up from an eBay seller in the US but because the tag said “made in Canada” I got away with paying nothing.

2:40 I got that one at an Atlanta Thrashers game in 2004 because it looked cool to me. I wore it when I went to Phoenix last year. Edit-Also the Space Coyote I always called Phantom of the Opera because of the mask.

love the kachina design. my main complaint with Arizona though is their color schemes are as all over the place as their arena relocations have been: pick a color sheme and go for it (preferably sticking to the og kachina). also the maroon one that says Arizona is the worst one by far, looks like a college team (similar to ASU colors) and given their arena situation, I would avoid that

Love their jerseys. I have an original dark Kachina (PHX) and a blank, white Reebok one from their first season as Arizona (the same as the original Edge but with AZ on the shoulder patch instead of PHX). As much as I've always liked their jerseys, I never understood why they didn't do more with the Kachina style pattern, but the new wordmark jersey scratches that itch to some extent. That color is amazing. And I heard that the proposed 4th peyote coyote was supposed to be black. The purple one is my favorite by far, and I agree that the orange one needs more love. But of course I think nothing will ever top their current home/away set.

Tucson's climate would be very similar to Vegas. A bit cooler than Phoenix. If you could put a call into Bettman's scheduling minions, and they could overlap a Canucks & Abbotsford visit to AZ, I'd wholeheartedly encourage a day or two down south. A lot of interesting history.

I want to see a version of the Desert Night jersey with a monochrome, Kachina-ified take on the Howling Head. Or just a monochrome Kachina. The jersey and the pants with the cactus are great (and the goalie pads are elite), but I just am not a huge fan of the wordmark.

How old am I? I used to go watch the Phoenix Roadrunners at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum when they were in the Western Hockey League. I get the Kachina look but its never grown on me. If you ever see real Native American dolls, they are pretty amazing.

I wore the Arizona away jersey once to a sports bar to watch a Vegas-Dallas playoff game last spring as I had not yet had my golden Vegas jersey. I got a lot of comments from my female friends regardless of whether they were hockey fans or not. Arizzzona confirmed. I liked Yotes branding a ton, though I wasn't a fan of the two-tone jerseys (still love all of their logos, even teh wordmark which is rare).

The yotes have one of the coolest brand identities in sports so the fact that they were able to come up with one of the most pathetic low effort jerseys I've ever seen with that new alternate is surprising

Arizona/Phoenix has never really had a bad jersey. My unpopular favorite is actually the black running coyote jersey.

It's hard to dislike any of the Yotes jerseys. I only ever had a "meh" moment over the black Jersey with the full Coyote because it looks like the Sabres goats head style, but like the Kachina it grew on my and I'd welcome some sort of retro/colour switch. Maybe a white version? The word mark is just a bit bland, but the colours great.

The Kachina jerseys, especially with those thick Starter collars, were so hideous when they first debuted - the green alternate was somehow even worse - but they were so unique and fit the motif perfectly. The Coyotes, it turned out, got it right the first time. The ones they wore to the 2012 WCF were so mind-numbingly boring, they made me want to yawn like the coyote on their chests.

The yawning Coyote logo bugs me - the perspective is all off - if you can see a large part of the inside of the left cheek...why can you only see 3/4 of the right eye.

The Coyotes Alternate jersey that they came out with the Arizona wordmark dont like that jersey at all love the color but not the wordmark they should of put an logo on the front but their other jerseys I do like though

I prefer the burnt orange to the purple when it comes to the reverse retro. Probably in the minority on that one though.

Yup, the burnt orange one (RevRetr) should be their homes, the aways should be the White Yawning Yote (with burgundy & black striping). The purple one ain't bad, but the burnt orange is nicer (just needs a cherry red, forest green, purple, ash, or a blue/navy/azure/persian; shoulder yolk to make the orange pop. Arizona have a good brand going,; cool distinct name, the native inspired kachina tie-in, desert colours of tan, burnt orange, red, & such are good colour scheme, rivalry with other Southern Desert Belt teams in NV, CA, & TX. But, the owners can always pick up stakes for now - relocate to Salt Lake, Kansas City, [enter city here] - for a decade or 2 like the Thrasher's & move back to AZ when the time is right (have the right stakeholders, right price, the right land, right owners).
