Glad your back, at least you've got a valid reason for not making videos after the tackle trade quietens down! I always enjoy your videos, maybe it's because they're more match style than speci style for catching fish. I'm thinking about joining my local club, but the comps are biggest fish, rather than biggest bag.

Thanks mate. I'm enjoying being a tackle dealer again, much easier than being a builder! Does that club get good turn out? I would bet it does. Unfortunately we seem to be in an era of defeatism where people don't seem to want to fish "competitive" matches, a lot of guys around here seem to think they can't compete with the "better" anglers. Biggest fish does open up the field, anyone can win it!

@christchurchanglingcentre5428 it seems to. But a charter skipper I know said to join one a bit further away, as the closer one is struggling (heavy paraphrasing there). I'm going to go in with the attitude of the first year just being a learning curve and using it to improve.

Absolutely it was terrible! I'm still 50/50 as to whether I should have put the video out or not. I know what the problem was now (an issue with GoPros whilst using a powerbank and external mic at the same time) so future videos will be much better. Thanks for watching regardless 🙂

So I was using a 4/0 here, I wouldn't go any smaller, you could go up if you like. I simply hooked this through the top lip.

Good to see you back on the beach again. Quick question. What state of the tide is best for Sandbanks ? It is many years since I have been there, are the car parks open overnight ? Just looking for somewhere different to fish during the winter malaise. Chesil and Abbotsbury have been very poor recently.

I prefer a rising tide, but much like most of Poole Bay you can fish it on most states. There's is parking in and around the area 24/7

I may as well have been recording on an etch a sketch! lol It was an issue with trying to run my gopro with an external power bank and using an external mic. Unbeknown to me you can't do both at the same time. After a little Googling it's an issue with Gopros in general. Very annoying. I've since bought a Tascam sound recorded to pair up with my Rode mics, so I can run the gopro continuously with the power bank should I wish.

Not sure if you're aware but your sound only comes out of 1 speaker later in this video Also for your latest. Another problem I have myself. I have to change it in Davinci when editing People don't realise the stress of recording on a beach 😅

I use a GoPro 10 as my main camera then have a couple of older GoPros if I'm feeling creative with different angles, bite cam etc! The issue arose as I use a Rode wireless mic for sound, which is a great bit of kit. However I also got a powerbank to run the camera continuously without having to constantly change batteries (battery life on GoPros is always a bit naff!), little did I know that you can't run both the wireless mic and the powerbank at the same time. A very very annoying oversight by GoPro, one which they'll fix soon hopefully!
