I just ran across your interview series, and I just want to say how much I appreciate you and your family doing them. Your family models how a family ought to work! I want your mother for my own! (even though I'm probably older than she is ;) You are awfully lucky in being Canadian, but not nearly so much as having your family! Thanks.

You're getting a lot of love on this channel so you won't be surprised if I add my two cents worth. I found your video by accident and I was moved by your courage and honesty. Although you're a complete stranger to me, you make me less cynical about humanity. You have a positive effect on people and that's an awesome gift. 7025 views as of 8:20 am

Good for you! I think your story is great...The good thing about your situation, is your into sports and if anyone gives you any crap you can take care of yourself if need be. Hopefully that would never happen, but yeah, your story is inspirational. I think people like you are what will finally help to end discrimination. Your family is awesome!

Awesome, moving post. I'm glad that you've had nothing but positive responses from friends and family so far. Like you, my sister was the first to know and was also supportive. Don't worry too much about your schoolmates, though--I didn't think I knew any other gays in my catholic school back in Wisconsin; however, I did catch up with several later in life. Take care!

awesome for you, man. You should be really proud of yourself. There are so many people out there that let their fear keep them in the closet and miserable. You walked through the door and because of it, all kinds of new doors will open for you. congrats!

You are indeed very lucky to have such an accepting core of family and friends. I feel it would be very much the same for me with the exception of my dad and his side of the family. The last minute, the message about it helping one feel better personally is very true. Simply because keeping the facade goes against ones true self. No one should be made to bear this burden. At any rate, good luck with school, socially and academically.

well that is inspiring, i have only come out to my mother and all of my friends and they seem to have no problem with it... there was a few funny moments and akward silences but is so much more of a relief instead of looking over my shoulder everytime i went out with my boyfriend, now all i have to do is remove the remander of the lurking shadow and tell the rest of my family but i am in a happy place. I'd just like to say thankyou, you are an inspiring young adult and are a true inspiration

Your video does show that there are many gay people who know that they are gay from a very early age. After all, you are pretty young when you are in 3rd grade, and even in 7th grade. Yet, you knew. It's good to hear that your family was so accepting of you. I hope that other families will watch this and see the right way to behave, and I am placing this video on "My Coming Out As Gay" KZbin Playlist.

You are exactly like me, but I was jus a bit younger than you, when I was finishing kindergarten school, jus passed to first grade and yes I was confused, wondern WTF IS wrong with me, what happened to me, I had an attraction to boys and I didn't know why😭😭 but managed to figure out this thing, (move on growing up) for I eventually found out I wasn't alone, for I've got a few relatives who are also gay, (I DIDN'T KNOW), IM LIKE NO FREAKN WAY!!!!!! And BOTH FEMALES AND MALES) I WAS SHOCKED, that certainly helped me out A LOT!! I talked to them about this. Good for you squirt, glad you were able to get this off your back, I know you feel a hell of a lot better, especially after you notified your parents and their acceptance of YOU, Take care now❤️,, live your life, were all in this TOGETHER, WERE human beings, 👌✌️👏👍🤗 🤗🤠😉

I would just like to let you know that I Respect you a great deal for coming out, especially in the way you did, even though you knew it could cause you worlds of hurt. I'm gay as well, and have been with my Boyfriend for 14 years, and we're also open about it (Not in the 'making out, groping, etc.' way, that's just not our thing at all. We just don't pretend to be friends instead, we have matching rings, and if someone asks, well we're not going to lie. - Best of luck to you in the future. :)

You have my respect and my admiration. More importantly, you are now free to love the world. But now you have to stick up for others in the Gay community. Don't fall in with that portion of the gay community that puts down those who don't fit in with the "in crowd". As you grow older, you'll figure out who these folks are. You are an example now - keep standing tall for ALL gay people.

Brilliant job. You're head is well screwed on. You've got a wonderful family (see the "interview" videos), probably in part responsible for the former observation. And, you live in a country that has started to recognize the importance of nurturing its gay citizens. Not everybody is so lucky. But you've shown everyone what the world COULD look like if we work at it.

I am far from a stereotype myself, so I know what you are going through. Most of my friends, even close ones, do not believe I am gay. Why I would lie about something like this is beyond me. Even tho I am 100% gay, most of my friends are straight because I get along better with them. They check out women as I do the same with guys, and then we joke about it. It's all cool, and I am about 4 times your age. You might prefer to hang out more with str8 guys later on, and that is fine.

i was the first to break the gay straight barrier at my school in like 8th grade. And on top of it its in this rural ranching 4h type of community. so it's tough. Not only that, i seem to fall for all the guys that are definitely gay, but totally in denial. It's sad really an i just want to help them along. but all of this has it's own time frame . . . i see that (sorry that im ranting). i just fall so hard sometimes, and they dont want to catch me.

@uraine7626 Who am I? A servant of Christ. I'm a pastor, a missionary, a chaplain (for two hospitals and the sheriff's department), I have a master's in theology, and am currently writing a book. Going through what kind of pain gets you closer to God? If it's the pain of suffering for the sake of Christ and the preaching of the Gospel, yes that will get you closer to God - but not suffering because you can't stop yourself from having sex outside of marriage.

And the "marriage" that Jesus allegedly refered to is between a girl between the ages 8-12 and a male suitor of any age (as was customary in that time, and throughout history). The bible is a very poor place to get morals from.
