It was pretty obvious that the Maeda’s stalker is Miyashita with the hooded figure popping up throughout the video. Miyashita is awful for spreading Akane’s information like that so, he can "save" her on that day. Also, the double twists that we got with what Suguru’s father did to a patient then to the truth being revealed.

Miyashita must have listened to "Never gonna give you up" so many times the song played in his head and he never stopped bothering Akane until Suguru stepped up to prevent this stalker from constantly harassing her. Also, the backstory involving Akane's mom and Suguru's father is kinda depressing and sad to see.

Insane story, astonishing in so many ways. I'm speechless to be honest. Enjoyed the story a lot. The MC's dad did a good job, hard decision, but thought of his patient although is a delicate topic and hard to choose sides, maybe I'm choosing his side right now because it is a manga? Can't even tell myself.

I had a patient that had bone ca, she would scream in pain. She received pain medication every two hours. The medicine varied but the relief was short lived. There wasn't a nurse that didn't give her medicine on time every time. We worked around that schedule to ensure she never missed a dosage or changing her patch. The doctors couldn't give her more. We would sit with her give her cool compress to her forehead, neck. Between the pain, she would calm and talk. She was a lovely lady, she gifted me a lamp, one she had brought from home. She insisted, her family insisted, cause it made her happy, I accepted. 30+ years later, I still have that lamp and the memory of a very brave woman. The day she died, I was on shift and knew because her screams had finally stopped. I was happy and sad, happy won out though, her pain was gone. Sometimes, people do the wrong thing for the right reason.

It's such a moral dillemma. Breaking the rules/law to do the right thing. We already live in a world where the law is the law. There can be no exceptions. **Anyways, for the afterstory:** Suguru was able to start college while still working as a security guard. He's also in a loving relationship with Akane. Thankfully, his father was released due to good behavior and completing his 5 year sentence. He managed to reunite with his son while he's a sophomore. He also met Akane, who is the daughter of the mother he euthanized. He was really regretful, but Akane reassured him that he did the right thing. However, naturally, Suguru's father was forbidden from becoming a doctor again because of the crime. The medical industry wanted nothing more to do with him. But surprisingly, the negative reception of his father has died down as the truth of the incident would come to light. Instead, people finally learning about the truth made them question about the law in general. While his father is banned from medical practice, he isn't banned from providing guidance to other medical practitioners as it's a completely different story. One of his doctor friends from before recommended that he should be an online medical consultant. The company that's offering it's position is a part of the Society Reintegration Program for Former Criminals. He's happy that he's able to at least do something. Of course, there's no need to explain further about Miyashita. He was expelled for stalking. That's it.

goddamn, so many twists and turns on this clip here. even though i was reminded of manga room's episode from 3 years ago called "A High School Girl Always Hugs Me On The Packed Train" mixed with manga rabbit homenoba's episode from 2 years ago called "On my way home, a woman in front of me dropped something. When I took it for her...", the choices on assisted death or committing a neccessary crime was a rare touch-up subject that was brought in that it felt controversial. why did they blur the words "murderer", "suicide" and "killed"? i didn't get why suguru needed to lie on 11:02 like that and that part on 16:21 didn't make any sense with miyashita telling akane that "she's better off happy" with someone else other than suguru like the sins of their fathers would play a huge role in it while being ANY LESS horrible than being a stalker. but at least akane didn't take that at face value and didn't see him for just being a "murdered" doctor's kid and saw him as an individual of a person. that creep needs to take a book from natsu dragneel from fairy tail where he tells ultear that the original rogue did nothing wrong when his future self was a monster. brittany's acting on 17:34-19:40 was on point with how remarkable she pulled off on this. she deserves an award for that.

Wow...I don't recall the last time in which there was an MC having someone in jail for the reason cited in the story. Also, his future wife is a good one...mainly because she didn't judge the MC right away, indeed, she listened to him (and saw him in action too, like earlier and later when he saved her from the guy she saw as "senpai" , while in reality he was just a rotten and disgusting LIVING BEING that should have ended up in jail through some kicks in his butt...). I feel sorry for the MC's father, though...because media in general called him "Murdered" while instead he "saved" that woman's life avoiding she could suffer more than what she was suffering in that moment (along with the other people that probably would have HATED to see her suffering so much, and that could do nothing to help her out).

"A person's character is not inherently defined by their parents' actions" Suguru's dad may have a reputation before, but doesnt mean it will inherit to his son. Just like a math equation, numbers can be changed by different means. So its by choice and not mandatory. Look at sinon from SAO2, she may have killed the bad guy when she was a kid, but that action have a bright side for saving a life. Justice can be blind, but it can see through the dark.

It's sad to say it but this story has a horrible level of truth to it. The Japanese police would almost be the equivalent of mall cops, they basically have no power to try and prevent crimes. Things like stalkers and harassment aren't handled well at all. Well at least they actually have a system for incurable patients in pain to seek legal assisted suicide, unlike the US where people are forced to live and suffer even with incurable conditions. Yeah, I love Japan and have a great time whenever I go there, but like any place it's got its issues.
