it does't work for official dedicated servers but it will work for local servers, the video is misleading cause i followed everything and it doesn't work. IT MIGHT WORK FOR CEDA servers, but that's only for their servers. cheers.

you would have to do these steps in reverse, or just delete the current files in the kendip folder and redo this with the addons you do want

can someone explain on how to put more addons into versus? i already put one addon in and im scared if i put another i get vac banned or it fucks my game. im only putting scripts and ui in so idk if the way he did it is the same way you do it with scripts and ui. also, my dumbass doesnt know how to get permission for gcfscape still, can someone also explain on how to do that?

If youre putting any form of cheats in ur shit thats the only way youll get vacced. The way VAC works is if you get reported the system will go thru your files and addons and see if youve ever downloaded a cheat. If so youll get banned. So as long as its just normal mods you should be good. All you gotta do is put them in the same place as the other mods just make sure nothing is overlapping. So if you have 2 files named snipergunshot.vmt or whatever. Then they will either glitch together or one will cancel out the other. Or if you have two folders in the same location named "models" or whatever. Same thing applies to that. To get permission all u gotta do is right click on gcfscape and hit "run as administrator". If that doesnt work you probably gotta uninstall and reinstall from somewhere else and when u do, when it says "what files would you like to open with gcfscape?" You make sure you choose ".vpk" files.

@@Bark3viousMingo a little late but it seems like theres no real limit to the mods, but the storage the mods take up. Not sure of the limit or even if this is the case, but this is just what it's seeming like to me after some hours of experimenting with this. If you make another addons folder and add it to gameinfo as well, it should work.

i know im like 2 years too late but if you press "verify integrity of game files" after going to your library pressing the gear icon on l4d2 and then properties, you should be able to get everything back to normal
