I just came back from my hair appt today too. You got a great cut. The guy knows what he is doing and to use the straight razor again. I think it makes men feel special too. Its nice to be pampered.

I still can't get over the goofy smile of yours, tovarish. I use to get haircuts similar to yours, but as I got older, I prefer real short hair, so I don't have to mess with it (just wash, dry with towel and go)

I cut my own hair and even wore out a set of Wahl trimmer blades. It's not easy but practice makes perfect! Increasingly it's really hard to find a good Barber or Stylist that can cut Men's hair in my city. And, they seem to hop locations frequently so if you find a good one get a card otherwise you'll probably never see them again. A shave is a real treat but the Barber will only use a safety razor instead of a straight razor. Seems too many people were dying from sepsis...

Hey Sergey, looking good there, nice haircut. Here in the states, men's hair salons/barbers are a thing of the past mostly. These days men here go to places that do both genders. They have individual masters, so some may specialize as well, but most masters here can do both. It is same here as well, you have some good ones and some not so good. The other problem is price. Generally, a standard men's hair cut will start around $30 to $35 and tipping is almost expected. I am fortunate to currently have a master that is only $18, same as in Russia there. I do tip though because it is only $18, so why not since that person does all the work. Washing is also generally included in the price here. Here in the states those guys and gals that do hair are called barbers for men or hair dressers for women. However, now you have me calling them masters because its a Russian thing and the more I learn of both Russian society and language the more I convert. It's almost this automatic thing, I like it though. Say hello to Vika for me, I trust all is well with her?

Hi Sergey - here are two ideas for future videos. 1] visit a public library and explain how things work [are there metal detectors, are there CDs, is the library very quiet, how long can you keep borrowed books, etc., ? [2] visit what we in the US call and Army an Navy store.... a military surplus store, and show us what merchandise they have and how much it costs. BTW, nice video at the barbershop.

Reading all the comments, seems Americans are obsessed with tipping everyone. Not all countries work in the same manner. I just returned from Russia, the taxi driver that took us to the airport refused my tip, as did several Uber drivers in Saint Petersburg.

They are pre-1891. You have to know that the historical center of Saint Petersburg is very big and very old. They do refurbishing all the time. But they can't cover ALL city right away. Besides that this is an internal yard. They first off work on facades and inside hallways of the buildings. Then time comes for an internal yards.
