You're really not alone in this. Mental health is an exercise, and sometimes we're just not ready. It's very hard to keep the perspective when everything seems fragile.

Nice one. Content like this is usually so fake, so self-serving, and so absurdly dramatic. Your honesty and humility show Mark. Your desire to share your experience - for the sake of genuinely helping others is so refreshing. Take care.

Hey Mark, nice to see your perspective in this matter. I'm glad that you have leveraged your platform for a good cause and that is mental health in times like this. Firstly, during quarantine - it will be really difficult on those that are constantly active and where endorphins play a large part in their life. Secondly, you were a patient and it is only natural to have those fears. Also you being an avid traveler, are also concerned on what the future holds because as of now it'll probably be slow for 1-2 years. So to those of you who feel that this is getting out of hand and a feeling like imprisonment, i strongly urge you to go for a walk/jog as long as you are permitted or at the least come out of your house and do stretches. It is important to add that element of nature and to sweat. If you are a fitness instructor and are reading this, kindly consider free zoom sessions to help those in your community. Secondly, if you're job is on hold - kindly look out for free courses (edX) , KZbin tutorials or eve enhance your digital marketing for your brand to enhance your skill so once the lock down is over you are one step ahead. Days feel a lot longer than before, so keep yourself well occupied. We will get through this provided we follow the rules of the #newnormal. Hope you heal alright Mark ! Spread

I am so proud of you for having the courage to not only make but to post this video, mental health is so so so important! I have anxiety, some days are easy as pie and others feel like they will never end, but having people around you whether they know what you're going through because they fight the battle as well or even just want to be someone for you to talk to is amazing. I've always found being out in nature is my biggest help, finding a quiet place to just be, listen to the animals, the wind in the leaves, it's calming and almost meditating. If you ever need a new ear or just someone with a different vibe don't hesitate to reach out. Sending you all my love :)

Glad you made it, Mark. I think the gloomy feelings you've experienced are attributed to the lack of physical activities and sun exposure. Personally, I'm somehow sedentary and not that much active, but since there is a strict lockdown here in Saudi Arabia, I'm not able to go out for 2 months by now and I'm unfortunately experiencing the same thing somehow. Thanks for sharing your experience with us and remember there is people from different parts of world are waiting for your videos. Lots of love from Yemen

With the current situation, I have a colleague who is stuck at work site and they haven't been able to visit their family in 4 months. Whenever we discuss how frustrating it is for him to be stuck there, I try to make him feel better by saying at least you got your job and comfort knowing it's not going anywhere. But this video made me realise saying that is probably not helping him even though I have the best intentions trying to show him the brighter side of things. Next time i will just listen. Thanks for the video and you got a new sub.

Thank you for sharing the emotional aspect. I too survived COVID which lasted 3 weeks of intense physical but like you emotional anguish and horrible anxiety. I workout everyday and used that as my release and then out of nowhere I’m sicker then I’ve ever been in my life . I’m almost 100 recovered and I’m so very grateful but I still have a long road ahead of me mental health wise . Thank you for bringing light to this area of the disease . I feel less alone ❤️

Amy, thanks so much for sharing :)... 3 weeks wow, although glad you've recovered. Honestly, not having that exercise release is what killed me. Feels really great to be in routine once again now. Wishing you a strong mental recovery in the days/weeks/months ahead, feel free to reach out anytime :)

Thank you so much for making this video. Because In the past few days I just had another collapse or attack actually I don't know what's it called but you and had the same experience like having negative/bad thoughts in your mind. And really your right in this kind of times in your life you really have to like talk to, you know just to let it loose and let it out of you at some point. Your brave remember that coz not all can talk about their mental health. Again thank you for this video.☺️💙💙💙💙💙💙

Hey Mark, I just lost a friend a few days ago to depressions, so I really appreciate that you are talking about this topic as a strong healthy looking man. It's so important that everyone knows that he or she can talk with everyone about having a hard time. It's not a sign of weekness, it's a sign of strength. We should forget this old blabla about boys dont cry and boys have to be mentally strong. Hope you're feeling better and get your joy in life back. Best wishes, Juli

Hey Mark - thank you for sharing this very intimate video - it was very brave of you. I'm a physician in the United States, and my COVID-positive patients expressed the same feeling as you. Please know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Please reach out to someone, anyone (me, even!) if you need someone to talk to. I got into videography during the pandemic lockdown, and I love your videos! I've learned a lot from you and hope you get back to making awesome videos soon! Get well soon, mate!

It gives me happiness😁 just watching your VLOG and you pushing forward....!!! This Corona Virus Quarantine Lifestyle HAS BEEN MY Life for the Past 13 Years. I have been Sick in chronic pain "giving birth like pain" "electricuting in my tailbone like pain" and "cuts and someone rubbing salt on wound like pain" taking 5 different pain medication AND at same TIME taking care of My Special Needs Child who seizures 600 times a Day. (Dravet Syndrome) and dealing with Verbal Agressiveness from the father of my child and unsupportiveness from my OWN Family. LOST my friends and Social Circle because i had to focus on my child and me. My child normal for 1 year. Then 2 months after her 1st birthday seizure for 1hour straight. Dravet Syndrome (all doctors thought she was NORMAL and it was just FEBRILE SEIZURES for 4 years). It has been an extremely HARD Life. It gives me happiness😁 just watching your Vlogs and stories.. IT will Get better. At least we DO NOT Have to Deal with Snow Right NOW...!! 😁 Be Gratefull of the little things.. and try to Focus on Positives.😁I say your doing a great JOB COPiNG...!!! Keep pushing forward and positive .. i want to watch more of your VLOGS.

Your experience reminds me of a simple aphorism - "move a muscle, change a thought". Sometimes easier said than done, as depression often robs you of desire to do anything. Also your decision to avoid the constant bombardment of negative news was wise. I firmly believe that it takes an unconscious toll on our mental health. Now if I could just get my wife to stop listening to MSNBC 12 hours a day!

So true, action creates action. I'm definitely going to be mentioning that in the next video. As for consuming news lol, yea I still haven't looked at any since... there's nothing actually NEW, just more speculation and opinions. I sorta empathize with the mainstream new sources only being able to talk about one thing and constantly recycle content to stay alive... but at the same time i've never really been a fan of mainstream news anyway

Thanks for sharing this! What the corona-vius really lets us see is how much we need other people in our lives. Not just that, but also being close to them. Not being isolated, though it was for the best to keep your loved ones safe. But i can really see how that mentally effected you. Talking about it cerainly helps.
