I would do the Texas speed 427 cause without the leak down test there might be issues with the rings cause the wet cylinders could give a false reading

The wrap is going to be a hot electric blue (think Grabber Blue / Cornflower Blue for example). Very few colors can pull off white wheels for a contrast. The aforementioned is amongst the strongest pairing.

A compression test won't tell you anything about your oil rings on the pistons. Also a wet hole should read higher than the others if the rings are good. A wet compression test is to do just that to confirm the rings are the reason for lower compression numbers on a bad hole. Your 20 psi difference already and your low on the wet holes. I'd definitely pull the heads and inspect everything really well. Also I learned the hard way being tricked on a wet hole when doing a compression test.

Remember you have oil in those cylinders with the oily spark plugs that could be giving you a false reading too.

I’m gonna recommend something for the ls, replace the rockers and trunnions with some quality ones, factory ones fail causing severe engine failure , wouldn’t be a bad idea to replace pushrods as well

The Texas speed 427 would the quickest route and have the car setup for the future. Then, the transmission and rear end and driveshaft will be the weak links

Could also be bad pcv system and the intake could have oil ingestion. But if you want to be different then go with the TSP 454. The car would be a drift machine.

id recommend just keeping the stock motor b/c any type of upgraded motor like a texas speed one who ever wins it will probably just pull the motor and sell it for extra $$$$ and find a stock ls1/3/7 motor to put back provided they even keep the car after

Do the TSP 427. compression is great but even if its not just the valve seals, piston rings, warped heads or worse could be in there. I have a feeling this wrap is a bright seafoam green, teal or sky blue.

Texas speed motor without built bottom end. Keep the compression ratio in the middle to low end of the spectrum so that way the winner/new owner can boost it if they wanted without getting the bottom end completely rebalanced with new pistons, and they don’t have to worry about cooking a cylinder.

Dry vs wet compression test... adding oil to a cylinder will bump up compression if there is a ring problem

I wouldn't trust just a compression test... Oil on the pistons can hide poor compression by assisting the rings in sealing in air. A leak down test would give more info. I would start by pulling the heads and cleaning all the carbon buildup off at a MINIMUM. Replace the valve stem seals and see how youre lookin in 500 miles
