On the ls3. the pcv and the hose from the intake valley pan to the throttle body on the passenger side of the throttle body every time you floor it that motor will eat oil.you really need a catch can. That's how I fixed my 2011 c6.

Get the oil temp up to 175 in order for it to properly read on the dipstick Sincerely, someone who knows how to maintain a dry sump system

The reason why the transmission was covered in sludge was due to the ATF fluid leaking out of the reverse solenoid housing on top of the trans case. GM used a subpar sealant on that cover and it's prone to seep hot fluid while driving but is so slow it goes unnoticed for a very long time. Something that needs to be addressed before the car is given away I would say. Otherwise the transformation was impressive, cheers from a fellow C6 GS owner!!

As much of a pain in the ass it may be. I think it’d still be good to give the motor a refresh. Especially since the oil smelled like gas. And replace the throw out bearing. It’s expensive and you’ve already put a lot into it. But I think for it to be a reliable giveaway car it’s probably something that needs to happen. But I love the car and the fact you’re bringing it back to life.🔥🔥❤️

Just letting you guys know. I’m a tech for Gm and I’m pretty sure you are supposed to check the oil on the dry sump cars with the car running, not off. At least that how you check it on the c7’s. im pretty sure if you check the oil with the car off and add oil accordingly to that measurement you will over fill the car. I’d double check though
