@@D-TroS I feel Serbians need to become less scared of doing new things that people haven't tried here yet. People here care too much what somebody else *might* think about them if they do anything differently. Serbs also need to start networking together more for business purposes verses existing in closed friend circles. I can't find one business mixer (an after hours get together of business people to meet each other and possibly do business together) here on Facebook when they exist in almost every major city in the US. I think that is one of the major problems here. People always say you have to have "connections" and "know people" to succeed here but that is no different than anyplace else even in America but from what I see they are afraid to reach out beyond their friends circles. Hopefully I can be a good example of what happens when you do. Thanks for your comment!

Belgrade does need to fix its air quality, especially during winter. It's just unbearable and Belgrade has consistently been in top 5 cities in Europe with the worst air quality and top 10 in the world. Not the kind of top 5 and top 10 list you wanna be in. Now, with more construction taking place in the city, It's only going to get worse. The city government needs to take serious action to fix this issue. It's sadly not being discussed enough in media and government, but this is a major cause of respiratory cancer the residents in Belgrade will suffer from and already are. Also, it's sad that Serbs don't want to help out each other, but would walk through fire in order to help a foreigner. It's good being hospitable to foreign visitors and residents living in Belgrade, but going over the top to practically kiss ass to a foreigner, while treating a fellow Serb like garbage is not something to be proud of.

@Binsr Burning coal to get warm during winter is probably the main reason for such high air pollution. Recently built homes and apartment buildings have electric heating and/or gas, but most other homes still use coal and even wood burning to stay warm in winter. This somehow needs to change for better and that’s when government should make a nationwide initiative to remove coal burning. Foreigners don’t know this about Belgrade until they actually get there. As far as comparison to Beijing and New Delhi, considered how much larger both of these cities are with much higher population compared to Belgrade, I think that Belgrade must do a better job in improving its air quality.
@yourmajesty16303 жыл бұрын

Brad, for the Serbia standards, air pollution in Belgrade is really bad compared to many smaller places (except Panchevo and Bor). I am really noticing the difference when I come back to Belgrade. Also for the English speaking part, in elementary school we learn one foreign language (usually its choice between English, French and Russian) and in middle school, we often have second language classes. That is why majority of people around your age and younger, and even many older than 40 speak English. I for example had English in elementary (although my parents sent me to classes at 6yo) and then in middle school (gymnasium) I learnt French for 4 years and Latin for one year.
@ChaosPrototypeIX3 жыл бұрын
@Lara Joksimovic if we gonna nitpick, last time I checked srednja skola means middle school, not high school. If I were speaking about American education system then you would be right, but I am speaking about ours. But now that you have mentioned it, I could have mentioned difference because most likely Americans arent familiar with our educational system, I'll give you that. As for the German language, it might be an option in some bigger cities but in smaller cities it was usually always choice between English and French. Also you should take note that I am generalizing because of topic for tldr, there are always exceptions.

Good question! US passports can come to Serbia for 90 days at a time. During my stay; I moved my IT consultancy from San Diego, California to Belgrade, Serbia. I opened an LLC (called a "DOO" here) and that was my pathway to staying long term as a company director. As for my apartment I found it on a local website; you might want to start with CityExpert.rs and use Google Chrome to translate HaloOlgasi.com and Kupujemprodajem.com You then use Viber messenger (popular here in Serbia) and install it on your PC or Mac vs phone and use Google Translate to communicate with the landlords. Many speak English though so ask them that when you first message them. When using Google Translate use simple and clear English words so they translate better. Many people speak English fluently here though. With that being said a DOO company is only recommended if you want to stay VERY long term due to the length of time it takes to close (many months), otherwise I recommend Pausal as those can be suspended while you are gone and are taxed at a flat-rate: www.pausal.rs/en/ For more information about my story, I recommend investing the time to read this entire article: www.youthnow.rs/2021/04/21/interview-with-brad-beckett-a-digital-nomad/ Good luck!

why does liking matter it doesnt show. if i like it can recommend to people?
@bradbeckett3 жыл бұрын
It does make a difference but I hide the like/dislike numbers as all voting should be blind and not influenced by others. It also denies trolls their mental orgasms which makes them disinterested in down voting my channel. Third, it prevents an exploit that I found on the KZbin platform that I cannot divulge. I have an extremely large amount of likes on each video and maybe 5-10 dislikes. Feel free to post it to your Facebook wall and any interested WhatsApp groups you are a part of. Thanks!!

Do you understand that by you advertising this publicly you will inevitably bring about the change that might not be wanted in Eastern Europe. We see how the West is going downhill, we don't want the same shit happening in our Eastern European countries!
@bradbeckett3 жыл бұрын
There are two types of idiots that can make Eastern Europe shit. 1. is CIA and they're already crawling out of our embassies. 2. is liberals and they are mentally ill and couldn't make it here. I'm not worried at all. This was an invitation for the IQ-privileged and based.

Lol. With all the money they're making that they can't even pay the payments on their college loans, have to live with their parents, and don't know how to live on a cash basis without AirBNB and credit cards? I don't think so. I think they'll get left behind in the cesspool they've created and it'll be so fun to watch. My biggest weapon on Facebook is my past 3 years of travel photos which are all set to public that they endlessly scroll through after insulting me for whatever-reason-this-week. It's a real hoot because we both know that'll never be them. They have no story, no personality, no identity, no brains. I don't feel they are a threat over here. I do have my eye on foreign NGO's.

@@bradbeckett I hope you are correct in your prediction. As an Eastern European guy I am sickened by these leftists in the West and have 0 tolerance for their BS.

Thank you for sharing all this information. Any bit of info will help. thank you again.

Yes you definitely can. If you buy property here it'll qualify you for residency you can renew yearly. You can go back and forth. Belgrade to NYC is not too bad of a flight either. ✈️

@@brendapadilla7874 not as I understand it. Unless I am mistaken you'll qualify for "temporary" residency as soon as you have a habitable property in your name. Not just land, it needs to be a flat or house that's livable but somebody correct me if I am wrong....
