My father was taken into ICU a month ago, when he went inside the ambulance I never in a million years thought that my dad would die. All I did was touch his foot and said goodbye. I begged the doctors to let us be with my dad in his last dying breath. All we could do was video him, we saw how he was on the ventilator and it was horrible because he couldn’t talk. My dad was my best friend, this is the most horrible experience ever. My mums is in a lot of pain and sadness, she’s been with my father for 40years. Everyday a nurse would call to tell us how my dad was doing and now I kinda miss that because at least then he was breathing. My father died on the 29th April 2020. He was an incredible man, father, husband, grandfather and very similar to their character of your grandmother. He was 62. I already miss him.

My dad and mom are in the hospital right now. Today is day 8 for my dad being on the ventilator in ICU. My mom is on oxygen and feeling a bit better. Not being able to see either one of them is horrible. We zoom in my dad's room & typically that's the only time we get updates on his condition. Seeing my dad on a ventilator has been absolutely devastating. I've been able to FaceTime with my mom and it has brought her some comfort. She said she feels so alone and isolated. No one should have to feel that way when they're fighting for their life and so sick. l I am grateful that there's medicine now that there wasn't a couple of months ago but I just wanted to tell you I'm really sorry that you had to go through this. It is a very real virus and it is killing people and my parents got sick in the first week of July....so I don't foresee things getting better I see things saying the same or worse. I know completely how you feel, the FaceTime calls, somedays we wouldn't hear from the dr, it is super scary. I do not know you, but I love you for being strong. Pray to God for more strength. I asked God to guide me and to show me why this happened to my family and he gave me clarifications my dream to become a nurse. I watch my grandmother take care of my grandfather when he is home from the hospital and it drastically changed my relationship with my boyfriend. I watched a couple of 49 years do exactly what they vowed to do. This is what they mean at weddings when they say "through sickness and health", this is what marriage is. I said all of that to say, ask God to show you the lesson within this. God will never put you through something if he did not have something to show you, trust Him please love. I thought I was the only one going through this. The last day i saw my daddy was on Father's day before he was rushed to the ER. My daddy passed away 2 weeks ago from a long battle w covid. I witnessed my fathers death thru a zoom meeting. I'll never forget watching him take his last breath. Hearing the death beat on the monitor. Watching the nuses remove his Ivs & disconnecting my father. Time was like slow motion. It will forever hurt. I screamed in so much pain as they removed the ventilator from his mouth. I dropped to the floor as blood splattered everywhere while removing the ventilator. They put the sheet over his entire body. Last but not least the nurses said "you're father passed away exactly at 11:26am" I screamed & screamed & closed my laptop. My father was my best friend. I was daddys girl. Any prob I had. I ran to him. He was always there to lift me up. It's hard to live with his last moments in life. I just found found out i have a terminal illness. I'm devasted from loosing my daddy. But it brings me peace that I will soon reunite with him. I can't wait to run into his arms. Life with out him is scary. I no longer feel protected. I'm sorry if i came on KZbin to vent. Hi Crystal, I went through the same thing in December when my Grandma also died of a virus: the flu, both my Grandma and Grandpa had flu at the time and only one survived. I couldn't visit her either because my parents didn't want me to remember her in the condition that she was in, so I totally know how hard it is to go through and the fact that I had to experience that just before Christmas as a just-turned 12 year-old beyond sucked and really looked over us until the day of her funeral, she was amazing, was always calm, collected and kind and when she passed, on Sunday the 15th of November, my soul just died for that day (in fact, I'm crying right now wrighting this message). But yeah, I understand what you're going through and wish you the best of luck to get through this and to your family.

Today, I too lost my 75 year old grandfather to this virus. Just like you said it escalated without any warning, even though he was healthy with no conditions. He passed away today at 1:30 am in Mexico. Its not real to me. We all thought he would recover but today was the most painful day for the entire family. He left my grandmother whom he had been married to for over 54 years and 6 adult children including my father who couldn't be there to bury my grandfather. Right now we're just trying to digest the news but it's a rollercoaster.

Sorry for your loss. I have loss two family members to this virus and completely understand what you and your family are going through. Yes, the people that aren't taking this seriously really frustrates me as well. Always cherish the memories you have of your grandmother and, easier said than done, try to remain hopeful that the world will get through this.

Sending much love and peace from the U.K. this virus is such a dreadful thing and unfortunately the way it takes people we love away from us is so so cruel. You showed great strength in your video and I hope that speaking about it and sharing your story with us all has brought you a little peace. The pictures of your gran at the end were lovely, she looked such an amazing person. Take care of yourself and stay strong x

I totally feel your pain. I have lost two loved ones since this pandemic and I just honestly feel like I'm in the twilight zone. When I see people acting like it means nothing to get this virus or when people say "oh you have to just live your life regardless and let God handle the rest". I just want to scream. God loves us all yet we are still dying, so we must do more. We have to wear mask and wash our hands and please stay at home. Please.....God bless you and your family!

I am so sorry for your loss. You have great courage to record today. It does hurt to lose someone especially to COVID-19. That’s hard to be forced to stay in isolation and not be there with her and the fact that you are not able to support or even be there for the entire isolation due to safety measures does suck. I am saddened to hear this. Just remember to think of those great and beautiful Memories you and your family had with her. Hope you and your family stay safe through these trying times.

I'm going through this right now with my Grandma. I'm sorry this happened to you and all of us. The hardest part is knowing she's alone and we can't be there for her. She'll most likely die alone. It's hard to feel so helpless.

I lost my grandmother as well and although not because of this, I feel your pain and I am still trying to deal with it all myself. I take my hat off to you for even making this video. You will never stop hurting and you will never stop being mad about how this has happened. Continue to live and do things as you would if she was here still and make her happy beyond what has happened. She lives on within you. Although I am saying this to you. I am also saying it to myself. Much love my fellow tech friend. Be strong. She would have wanted you to be strong no matter what.

Condolences on your loss and I hope and pray for peace during your storm. If there is one thing this pandemic has brought to light is the notion of how selfish others can be because of their so called rights instead of doing what's possibly necessary to help the situation.

I’m so sorry for your loss 😔 Stay together and help each other and stay safe. All people should respect this virus. In Denmark where I come from it seems to be under control at the moment. But we should all respect it - no doubt. I really hope for better times for you and your family 🙏☀️

I’m so sorry this happened to you Krystal. For you to come on camera and talk about your experience and spread awareness is brave. I have nothing but respect for you and I send you and your family my condolences. While I didn’t lose someone to the virus, my best friend passed away last week due to anxiety and depression. If you ever need someone to talk to feel free hit me up. It’s always good to share stories of people we care about to keep their legacy alive.

So sorry for your loss. Even though we don't know personally, I understand, these 2 months for me have been very sad and scary. I live in a country with the most deaths for a small country. No control or medical help at all. And have lost several family members, friends and colleagues. Very wonderful people that didn't deserve it. The worst things, it keeps happening. Afraid about my parents and family even more than myself. So, keep strong. It looks like you are. Just be a warrior, a surviver. Our loved ones always want us to be strong and well. My prayers to you and all your loved ones. And to all that goes through these terrible moments.

Thank you Krystal. This was heartbreaking to watch. My grandfather fell very ill. We weren’t allowed to see him. Thankfully he did not have covid and made it home, but he passed away yesterday from being old and 89. I took care of him. Yes, I feel selfish for saying this but I did get to hold his hand. However - he died alone in the room yesterday night. They told us he had a few weeks left, that he would be ok for the time being if he kept eating. So I thought it was ok to get some sleep. He was alone for 2 hours (as I had to get some sleep, I hadn’t gotten any in almost a week) and woke up. He wasn’t breathing anymore. I stood over his dead body. I did get to tell him I loved him, but I didn’t get to say goodbye. And I understand now I got more than a lot of other people do. But it still is so raw, and it really hurts. To lose the people you love. To know they’re suffering and you can’t do anything about it. And you couldn’t be there for her. I’ve been watching you since you had no viewers and were new here. So I feel like I kinda know you. I’m truly so sad for you, and I’m not even going to say I’m sorry. I just know how painful this is because the situation was different, but I know how much this loss fucking hurts. I’m sorry she was in that situation, and this is hurtful for us too, and our parents (specially our mom and dads). To anyone out there, going through any loss right now. Accidents, old age, covid-19 (probably among the hardest along with accidents). You’re not alone.
