After Story: After Fujita quit after messing up the orders, he tried to find another job in the market industry but couldn't because of his blacklist. Furthermore, he tried to ask his friends & family for help, but to no avail after finding out what happened with the brewery scandal. So now, he's a homeless hobo now with no future insight. As for Akemi, because of the scandal she was also blacklisted from working in the industry as well. So, all she does now is work part-time as a convenience store clerk during weekdays and working as a hostess on weekends to pay for her debts she gets now too.

I think in the end those screams of despair from Akemi towards Sato were her true repressed feelings, I think she did like him in her twisted and toxic way, but her bad personality, her mistreatment of Sato simply caused their breakup; and since her pride and ego were enormous, like extreme arrogance, she couldn't admit her mistakes in time, in fact, from everything Akemi said mentally, even when she was dating Fujita, I smell that she did it out of pure spite more than anything, not because she liked him or was looking for a better position with Fujita as she boasted, but because she couldn't get over her romance with Sato xd, so Akemi ended up being that typical ex-girlfriend who hasn't gotten over her previous relationship at all.
