Nemo. THAT was amazing. you are so crafty in defence. that was so inspirational as it looked lost for good while. that middle game was so closed . it was like a lively conversation with ho words between players. i suspect black should have pressed his advantage a little more. but to me that was masterfully defended under time constraints. its never over til its over :) !

I would imagine this is how a lot of Spanish games end in blitz. This variation involves a lot of moves and you end up with complex positions with little time left, so someone losing winning positions becomes more likely in blitz spanish games than in other variations.

Rook endgames are always too tricky! There are already very many turnarounds on time scramble on positions with Rook endgames in FIDE world Cup

The defense was different class... and tbh, he attacked so well... until he threw everything he didn't allow any counter play - which is funny... and quite instructive... even if opponent is playing perfectly throughout middle game+endgame allowing 0 counter chances he can still throw at the late endgame... we gotta stop respecting opponents just because they play 25 moves perfectly so you assume they are impervious...

There were a couple times, where could've got his rook and taken the pawn and moved your other pawns up. And the was a time, he could've taken your rook and stopped your queen progression. But oh well You're so beautiful.... Goddess status FR
