Love the vlogs! Just a friendly suggestion on the on AcJd hand where you blocked out your opponent's hand. I recommend that you also block out your own percentage of winning the had, it made it much easier to figure what the opponent was holding based off of the percentage next to your name! Keep up the good work, and you are right, it is only up from here!

Easy guess when the stream shows your opponent's outs. On the flop there were two options: 89 and K9. After the turn only K9 is possible.

that was better. because both intro and outtro was kinda missing the audio. Still i believe in what i said first time. mcdiggery or pair of jacks on the hand is a limping never an all in :S Brad Owen made some nice wins with those around a year ago or so. but still think you lose more with all in than you win on those jacks. And she got the jacks. sadly. but still even with a minor stepback you made great comeback in the end. grats with the winning and ty ty for all these great vids

Stay aggressive.. no free cards unless setting the trap. Great come back on this session. I think if you slowed down on the snap calls you may be able to extract a little more value - doesn't have to be a monster bet but those little value bets add up over time. Keep playing your game / style and great things will come of it. 2-thumbs up.. Do you see yourself coming back to AZ for a MUG?

What are your thoughts from the other side of that AhQ hand? Should he actually be checking that river, curious what is the best play. Very dynamic board, but could be missing value from Jack X hands..?

@@derekstark8447 lol Good grief? Really, Charlie Brown. Just asking a question to think about different strategies and think outside of passively getting to show down. If you can’t see why it might be good to bet that river, while holding the Ah, then I guess I’ll move along.
@derekstark8447
@derekstark8447 Жыл бұрын
@@Roadie1385 It was a multi-way pot and people don’t fold big hands. I’ve been playing for 20+ years and I do very well. I am not tight with my chips either. I splash around a lot. That is simply not a great spot to bet when dude called a big reraise on the turn. At that point you should realize he has a big hand. If you want to rep the nuts there with the ace blocker you better be going huge. That pot was big enough already for top pair big kicker even with the ace blocker.
@derekstark8447
@derekstark8447 Жыл бұрын
People that bet there wonder why they got so unlucky when all the signs were there that your facing a very big hand. Also he hit his ace. No need to bluff now, he might be good… are you trying he should bet as a bluff or what? Or are you just confused?
@Roadie1385
@Roadie1385 Жыл бұрын
Seeing as I’m the one who asked the question, it might be you’re confused since you keep saying “he” when it’s Ashley in my scenario..? Again, not saying there’s anything wrong with his check, but was curious Ashley’s thoughts on if you can bet that Ace in some cases because it is the Ace of hearts. Yes, Ashley called a big raise (not reraise btw) on the turn, which means she likely has a big hand and/or draw. So only way to win the hand, if you think you’re beat, is to bet river to make two pair, set, etc to fold. Not saying they would fold because I agree that people don’t like to fold “big hands” but checking is giving up in my opinion. Anyways, you do you my guy, keep on that 20+ year grind.

Now that you’re playing higher stakes, do you enjoy playing more against tough opponents that are around your skill level that may make it tougher to win, or do you still play a lot against recreationals in 2/5, 5/10 etc. Do you find the lower games too easy, boring now?

i thought he had a Low Suited A at best... but no pair.. he seemed to be trying to make the wrong kind of bet, manly, a blocker bet, with a low pair ?? it was fishy.. and for that price i call. had he sized up, say, $275... i think i fold, as i give him credit for some kind of pair.. YOU... might shove, ( i've seen you play.. hahahahah ), and force a fold from a small pair who puts you on A 10 or a Q..

What's up with vloggers going from playing average 2/3 games with a few hundred dollars at risk, to playing high stakes and buying in for 5k+ within months? Who is staking all of them? Especially ones like rampage and mariano who just constantly bleed money and play terribly?
@PokerfaceAsh
@PokerfaceAsh Жыл бұрын
I’m my own person so I can’t speak for other vloggers. But I stayed at 1/2 and 1/3 for years, should have took shots but I was too passive and conservative with my bankroll. Once I got a one on one coach and more advice from others, I decided to start taking shots. Luckily it’s gone well. I’ll continue to try to build my bankroll. Also, don’t forget, us vloggers now have more streams of income and are able to build a bankroll quicker then we did before sponsorships, KZbin revenue, etc. So it’s less risky to move up when you have supplemental income. Hope that answers some of your questions 😊
@jakecooper5855

@@PokerfaceAsh Why are you quoting "us vloggers" like it's bad? It is what you are, and there are a group of you. That's like me saying something as one of "the viewers". I guess some of the others make you all look a bit suspicious at the moment, the ones that went from playing with $500 to $100k inside a year. There's no way youtube earnings and sponsorships can account for that sort of jump. It's all a bit odd, like the way the crypto gamblers started betting millions of dollars out of nowhere, and now they're all banned from Twitch. It feels like the poker sites and training sites are feeding the games for anyone with an audience to make the whole thing look more appealing and bring in new players.

@@jakecooper5855 you grouped me in with vloggers so I was quoting what you referenced me as - never said it was a bad thing. But every vlogger’s situation is completely different. I removed the quotations to avoid confusion.
