23:30 c'mon Ash, let's not have voodoo. Running it twice has exactly one effect, which is to reduce your variance. Whether you're in front or not has nothing to do with it. In fact, the only relevant question is "Do I want to reduce my variance in this spot?" Given that it's the biggest pot you've ever played, I'd think the answer would be "yes". Certainly Dave wanting to run it twice was probably an indication that you were in great shape, because he's likely a victim of the voodoo too. But your decision should be unrelated to who's in front right now - again, it's *solely* a matter of reducing variance, which in this case, I'd think your answer would be "Let's run it four times." Congratulations on the massive win and keep up the momentum.

18:00 I think I prefer a check-raise in the flop with your set of 8s to charge all the pair+draw, etc. But I get that it's a big game, nerves, etc. Turn is a no-brainer call and you shouldn't be apologizing for it. You're getting 5:1 on a 3.6:1 draw, so you've got a call even if not another dollar goes in the pot. You're giving your viewers some really solid poker advice now - your improvement since you started the vlog is huge. So in this case, just tell em: it's math, I have to call here. Either the board pairs or it doesn't, but don't hate the hand - that's what we call "poker".

8:30 Really good sizing pre ($200). If you whiff, fine. But as you say, if you keep piling it in pre and they keep calling with junk, eventually you get all the money. ❤️ the bet/check analysis after the flop, and why you chose to bet (because they have no fold button).

What’s not to like? Your logic was spot on, Ash! Patience. You always kept your head held high. Get the feeling many players would have gone “tilt.” Not you. Not this day. All the lesson’s learned along the way were the lead up to this very nice hand. Plus. It’s not like the hand was a gimme, either. You should be proud of yourself! Great job!

TCH Dallas is an awesome place to play poker. I went there a few weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon and they had so many players that they had two tables set up in the foyer, in front of the check in desk. Half the table were degens who would have been happier at a Blackjack table, but we don't have that in Texas.

wow what a juicy game! very gutsy call with KK,but it was obvious in many hands that due to how big it played it affected you,and i totally get it(f.e. TT hand & K6s,totally misplayed) if u play out of your comfort zone it's tough.so valuable lesson here ,when you do take the longshot in higher stakes it is very difficult to play your A game,on the other hand even B+ game is enough to print $ in such a soft game. GG NitfaceAsh

Just like it used to be in poker, when you flop the nutz, or a very strong hand, they outdraw you, and when you have AA, or KK, they put you to the test, hehe. Nice call, great win!

You should want to run it multiple times as the equity favorite As an extreme example, if your opponent has ONE out, running it twice protects you from the beat where you get scooped In addition, in that spot you're guaranteed to get at least half the pot, but usually you'll win it all Likewise your opponent that is behind should want to run once as they are hard-pressed to scoop on two runouts

Great session and vlog! Great call on the last hand. I probably would run it twice. Even if you are ahead, (1) you can still lose and (2) E-bay Dave seems like a fun player, so I would do what ever he wants (however, it seemed like he was just being nice and agreeing to a second run in case he wins run 1).
