I'm loving watching everyone take different tech. The Inn is gonna be very interesting! I personally am doing a super soldier build; I buffed their range, damage and armor. Also using shock towers and the new wasp turrets in between shock and guard towers. Oh and choo choo train upgrades of course, because they're nuts for early growth.

don't know about your inn strat, you need mostly stone houses covering most of its influence to get the good units. There is research for +50% prestige which would help greatly. Also yeah you almost never get a good amount of room to build in these missions, I've had zombies in view of the command center at the start in some of these.

The Mines are cool, its the new 'night' looking map type. And there's gold and such scattered all over and waves dont come nice through two sides as in Coast of Bones.

Hey Kibitz practice your strat first the cape of storms is hectic and I'm not sure that you are ready tech wise. Also, look at the flashing icon (Bottom left) for the story aspect of the campaign, it tells you how they got to the point where they are now, every hero mission you do unlocks a new newspaper clipping to add to the story.

It's sometimes better to build an extra quarry for just one extra iron, there isn't a lot of iron on the starting maps. Edit; you should get the snipers - walker wave? All sniper, then go for a cup of tea.

I had both the gold and wood transport early on, makes it much easier to expand when you have a constant extra income of those two vital resources

I say do them in rotation. Example: Doing Mines of the Raven, then doing the tactical mission (If one appears), then go down, deal with the horde, do that one, do the tactical, then doing the cape one rinse and repeat.

I died to it yesterday. I hadn't seen anything about it so I just went in on Brutal with my eco only build where soldiers and wood towers are my only military techs. Got completely wrecked. 300 Soldiers was not enough. Going to try again today. Will report back.

You need oil units or maybe shocking towers and soldiers. I went with Thanatos and was really easy. Beat it on nightmare my second try very easily. No need to build snipers at all just mass soldiers for clearing and they will help more on the final wave.

I lost this mission twice and deleted the game afterwards. Managed to defeat the hordes but couldn't get to 800 population in time. Most of my buildings were damaged and infected.

Usually, we go to Sniper, Thanatos ans Exec for Survival. But this is the Campaign. Here are Soldier crucial and i see some Shockingtowers up in front, just because no Spitters

This comment is completely true and the reason so many people are crying on the forums about the campaign being bad. Can’t play it like you’ve played survival. Soldiers rule the early game I skipped shocking towers and went for economy and oil units fast, but you do want to go one way or the other

Hey Imkibitz, great games as always. I managed cape storm but not I am not playing with the same dfficulty as you (50% difficulty). I recommend to clear the map first and then build 4 layers of defense with vet soldiers on the 2 first front tower lines then snipers on the 1 or 2 rear lines and to keep building an army as a kind of infinite wave is coming. Not a kiting mission (but I am defensive player with a lot of walls). But I am sure you will find a nicer way to succeed this difficult map. Mines of Raven is just some optimization, small waves, and finding the best place to have +320 gold mine, however time to clear the map might be challenging.

Kibitz. Check your intel that you get from hero missions. It is right over your empire points, blinking, taunting you. It gives some info on what the hell happened to the world that made it into a zombie infested hell.

What I do is form 2 walls the outer main wall. Then an inner wall along the tracks so they get distracted until the train comes

3 times, 3 times i've died! I cant do it, i have soldiers, wooden walls, towers....most of my upgrades have been financial (200 gold from train, plus 15 wood from train) I am kinda lost right now, i dunno if i can actually get past it with what i have? that last wave is in-fookin-sane it's HUGE! only 1 direction to worry about but damn it's hard. i had about 100 and odd soldiers outside of the fenced area that you begin with (i reinforced it myself with more walls and towers) and all towers filled with soldiers, half veterans from the smaller waves and i failed haaarrrdd. :(

I beat the mission by the skin of my teeth. I had about 200 soldiers up to the front where the horde comes from. They unfortunately broke through but I sent all my other units over to the infected and I won. They infected half of my colony.

BlackHole-Hurricane You can totally do it with soldiers and towers. If you’re still struggling go do another mission and get either shocking tower or oil units and come back. There’s different paths for a reason if you don’t like your tech for one mission do another.

I went for sniper as priority in tech yet i still need over 200 to get the wave. Covered the entrance with 3 layer of wall, 3 layer of tower, and repeat all the way in the train track. Also cover the town hall with lots of wall. I still almost lose on 100% thou, hope this helps. Wonder what's gonna be on 300

Don't you need the engineering center first to have oil units spawn in the inn ? At least from my personal experience thanatos , lucifer and titans starts to appear in the inn merc pool only when you get an engineering center.

As far as I know, you simply need high populational density around it. Titans, for instance, only show up if the Inn is at 100%. At least I think that's the case.

What a highttech train they made... we could use that tech... it knows what to hurt when hit. humans no dmg.. the undead gets to be dead.. wonder how they did that. Always fun to watch a pro player.. Say he will get the inn. cant get the inn. Say he has cleared the map. hasnt cleared the map. Say he is gonna die, 1 time, 2 times and three times. didnt die. Say maybe it will be small groups, pointing out he is lying to himself. only to find out it was small hordes. And in here you also got your answer... since its you. There is only yolo and scream you will die and then well hopefully not really die.. Cape Storm awaits you. ( back at the higher rating ofc ) Always fun to watch you man.. I do miss Cities Skyline though.

As long as you can get oil units from the inn cape storm will be cake. I beat it on nightmare no problem. No problem after losing the first time lol. Last wave took me off guard and I went with the wrong unit composition. But if you have oil units it’s stupid easy!

Wait, Cape Storm was supposed to be hard? I mean, without Snipers it might be, but it's so chill to boom up like crazy before that absurd wave. Also, if you use the space in the north for defenses it leaves you with fewer mills and you need to fit in the Soldier Centres somewhere else, but you get the space you need. Multiple rows of towers with Soldiers in the front rows and Snipers in the back rows and it's just a beautiful slaughter.

Cape storm isn’t THAT bad, played it on nightmare (before nightmare and brutal difficulties we made harder) and the final wave was the only problem. For reference I had about 150 soldiers and only killed 1/4 of it. There are a few chubs too. Also about half of the wave died because they were so packed and pushed each other out of bounds. Still lost and had to come back later with shock towers. I’d like to see you try it with your inn strat. Also it’s one entrance

Is there anyway to get missing empire points from hero map after first run. Was trying to find one missing obj for 30 mins and no luck. Finished it and restarted with perfect but point is still recorded as first try.

I was so focused on building a massive defence though, I forgot to reach the population quota. I have never spammed houses so fast before

I played cape storm on Challenging, and I thought i went over kill with my deffences BUT OOHH BOY was i wrong, So if you want to test you Inn first, by all means do it, But if you want to try out Cape Storm with balls of steel, that would probably make for an interesting view.

Those runners are a bug, seems this map has a huge bug during timed runner events. It's been reported, and not sure if it's fixed yet. Seemed to only happen before 28 if you clear the map. After the 28th horde it never "seems" to happen.
