I've definitely felt this urge to question why I think my work is special enough to add yet ANOTHER sticker seller to Etsy, but early on when I was starting my shop, I remember asking my self that question and I realized, as trite and cliche as it sounds, I do it because there is only one me. Even if there are hundreds of others who do exactly what I do on that platform I am the only one bringing my personality and "me-ness"! Two people can make exactly the same item, but they will inherently be different because we each bring our own individuality to a piece simply due to the fact that we are individuals with a different set of experiences and attitudes from one person to the next. Thanks for sharing your experiences and your art with us Michelle!! I'm so glad I found your channel last year and can't wait to see what's in store!

Yours is easily the coolest Michigan accent I've ever heard!! Your zig-zaggy life story is interesting too. Those are the most interesting life stories, where the person had to try a bunch of things before something eventually floated their boat. I'm paraphrasing Jerry Yarnell, the TV painting teacher guy who said something like, "Bravery isn't not being afraid to do something. It's being afraid to do something, and then doing it afraid." Looks like you've got pretty mad crafting skills too. I'm subbing your channel so I can swing by here from time to time.

@@sowhatstudio_ I recently learned the meaning of the word "Ute" from Plein Air Painter/Adventurer Kate Bonnie's channel after asking her what it meant. A few years ago I binge-watched "McLeod's Daughters" and picked up heaps of Outback rancher slang, which is fun, but not very useful where I live. Anyway, I'm glad I happened onto your channel. 🙂

this is the exact message that I needed to hear, at the right time. My life has finally gotten to a place where I can support my dreams and I've been in such a creative rut now that I have the space to really dive into my creative practice. And it's really because identity-wise, there is a fear of calling myself an artist because I feel like such a novice. Its always inspiring to see other artists out there creating despite these thoughts- thank you for sharing your journey

Hello Michelle! I’m watching you, but you’ve given me hope to create something. I’m from a small town in Russia and I’m slowly creating keychains/badges from canvas, I’m also trying to learn how to knit, create something from clay and also from felt. There was a lot of worry about this, that maybe someone wouldn’t particularly like my idea and idea, but it worked out anyway! I do everything in a measured manner and make people happy on TikTok and hope that my products will be bought. So thank you for the inspiration you gave me in this choice of path. Sincerely, a Russian fan of your work ✨

Right now I’ve been forced to switch locations for teaching. The limitations set by the new schools are trying my patience. I enjoy teaching but not with both arms tied behind my back. I am a creative at heart, went to school for it. I have a novel in its final draft I’m *this* close to finishing. I’m not sure why YT showed me your channel, but it feels like the right choice. ❤
