Yeah, Crohns sucks, I have it as well as another auto immune disease, EoE ( Esoinpillic Esophagitis ), I don’t know about you guys but my Crohns makes me not able to absorb foods well enough and my EoE makes it hard to swallow food, I have been to countless procedures and surgeries it’s not even funny, and I am only 14, super under weight and under height, and I also have traces of skin cancer
@chasecook6994

Oh and another thing I forgot to add is that I got a drug rash from the meds that helped ease and get rid of inflamed areas in my esophagus and small intestine, and a drug rash is basically where you get red itchy dots all over your body, an extremely chapped lip, and the chance of anaphylaxis. So now I’m on an elimination diet and to see if cutting out potential allergens helps. Although I’m only 14, I was fortunate to have found the diseases early on and only having somewhat mild symptoms, like with Crohns it hasn’t affected me much physical pain wise, but my body is 3 inches under average height, and about 40-50 pounds under weight because of Crohns and I found EoE by learning the hard way with my esophagus getting clogged by food for an entire day. I don’t get those terrible intestinal pains as of now but I do have a hand full of small ulcers in my small intestine. Sorry you guys have to deal with the same things.

I totally get it. I was diagnosed at age 20 with Crohn’s, I’m now 50. Over the past 30 years, I’ve had 37 brutal surgeries, nearly died 3 times, they found cancer growing on the outside of my colon aka large bowel, which ruptured when I was 21, killing me for 2 minutes (amazing near death experience). In total?... * 37 surgeries *3 relapses of intestinal cancer *spent over half of the past 30 years hospitalized *have had 5 different ileostomies, a J pouch (aka pelvic pouch) and 2 different K pouches, all of which failed, waiting for my next K pouch surgery *left with less then 5% of my entire GI tract *my weight yoyo’d from 200lbs to 137, to 240lbs, etc...now stabilizing at 150lbs, but for a 6’ tall guy, I’m a walking skeleton and can’t gain weight and loose 4-5 litres of fluid each day (my output is now pure brown water). * developed 11 other chronic diseases that are direct side effects from the treatments for the Crohn’s and cancer *was forced to stop working 4 years ago and go on permanent long term disability. * can’t eat anything, except rice, potatoes, meat, fish, and strangely, it’s dairy (most Crohn’s patients can’t tolerate dairy) * spent months each year surviving on TPN aka, IV nutrition, because I couldn’t eat anything. Those are a few of the issue Crohn’s has caused. It’s turned my life upside down, left me flat broke, and sick for the rest of my life. If you’re healthy, you don’t know how lucky you truly are! I’d give anything to get back all that I’ve lost over the past 30 years. Thanks for posting this, so we can dispel the stereotype that it’s just an upset stomach. I’ve been accused so many times of faking being sick because I looked “normal” (I HATE that!!). It’s an invisible disability, but a disability none the less.

Invisible illnesses are the worst. People try to label you as a baby, or lazy or “you don’t look sick” etc etc. Then they try to give advices on an illness they know nothing about. It’s better to not tell people sometimes. Because, most of them don’t care. I’m sorry that you’re going through this illness for the past 30 years of your life, I don’t know what it’s like. But I understand and hear you. You’re heard! ❤️ Take one day at a time and sending you my warmest thoughts and praying for you.

shit. i got it like 10 years ago.. my entire family turned their back on me and told me i was a drug addict. rumors spread. i lost all my friends that i've known since a kid, they all turned their backs on me. out of all my friends and family.. i only have 1 friend who stood by me.. out of all my close friends. my own family pretty much left me to die, and i pretty much almost did while homeless. i ended up being homeless for 2 years. i can't even find a career because interviewers look at me like an addict. my last job fired me because they said i didn't look like i got enough sleep to complete duties at work. and mind you..i fixed their company in 6 weeks, and they had been doing horrible for 5 years. still was fired. i made a company millions and millions and millions of dollars.. and still no one will even give me a chance. i have so much skill and talent, and im going to have to go on disability if nothing changes.. been out of a job for 8 years now... i work for myself because no one will even give me a chance. this woman in the video appears to look very healthy to me.. but maybe its just make up (i've been to the emergency room twice, and they denied me service twice and told me to leave.. which is illegal.)

I was diagnosed with Chronic Rheumatoid Arthritis when I was 23 and it’s hard, painful and very depressing but I have also learnt to appreciate the moment I have today. I’ve felt angry at life and then felt appreciative at the good moments . I’ve prayed to God and I’ve expressed my anger and pain to Him. And I’ve come to be more understanding of things that I once wasn’t. I’ve become more compassionate to others pain and suffering. I’ve also encountered people that don’t understand and are not compassionate and it’s made me compassionate toward them because they don’t know better. They’re ignorant to anything other than their world. I pray for them and I pray for everyone that has chronic diseases and chronic pain. May God help us heal and ease the pain. And may one day all be okay in his Kingdom.

Hey fellow Chronie! I'm so sorry you had to go through all that! I'm 22 and I was diagnosed with Crohn's when I was 19. I was actually happy to finally have a diagnosis after not knowing what was wrong with me for so long! My symptoms were mostly a lot of pain in my abdomen, my lower back, my knees, nausea, and (a little TMI. Hehe ) diarrhea, among other things. Pain just kind of became the norm for me. My doctor put me on prednisone, which just about ruined my life with side effects.(depression, no energy, chipmunk cheeks....all that fun stuff. hehe) and then Imuran which destroyed my appetite and I dropped about 20lbs in just a few weeks. So I had to get off of that. Now I take Humira. My grandma is a retired nurse and she insists on giving me my injections.😊 Though it's not in remission yet, I've started to feel better! And as cliche as it sounds, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger! I've learned so many life lessons from my Crohn's! God has helped me see the positives in such a negative situation. I believe there's a purpose to my Crohn's. I've been able to encourage people going through similar struggles and I'm very grateful for that! To anyone going through something like this. Hang in there! It really does get better. The sky is always more beautiful after a storm. Take care!

Yeah Crohns really does suck, what are your symptoms? Mine as of now has only stunted my growth because the ulcers in my small intestine don’t allow for easy absorbstion and so I have poor weight gain and growth in height, I’m only 14 so I’m still in the growing phase in puberty, and have you tried the 8 allergen elimination diet? I am on that right now where I can’t eat soy, gluten, reduced sugars, egg, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, and shellfish l, although that is a more common treatment for my other auto immune disease, EoE (Esoinpillic Esophagitis) which is basically just inflammation in your throat. And I have traces of skin cancer. Wow, it surprises me how many of you guys use medicine to treat it, I tried medicine and earned my self a week long drug rash for two different medicines (omeprazole and lansoprazole) and have yet to try the infusions, I have been to countless surgeries and procedures it’s not even funny - I’m assuming you have too. Sorry all you guys have to deal with the same things i am dealing with, I though the number of people with auto immune would have been way lower.

Some doctors say Crohn Disease is caused by LEAKY GUT and leaky gut is curable, but doctors said you MUST change your diet. Do NOT eat FOOD CHEMICALS ! Please try Visbiome (Medical Food/powder, probiotic) ! 1 packet Visbiome= 450 billion good bacteria I know someone who was diagnosed with Crohn Disease a few years ago. She was in remission for the last two years, but after using IV medicine, she had recurrent infection (side effect) and had to take antibiotics. After using antibiotics 4~5 times in a short period of time, she had inflammation again. Her doctor said Visbiome will not help anything, but she took the medical food anyway (5 packets of Visbiome per day). Within two months, her blood test and fecal exam came out NORMAL (This means she DOESN'T have inflammation anymore). Probiotics die when they come in contact with stomach acid, so you must take it with EMPTY STOMACH (ex) right after you wake up in the morning). I think capsules have some food chemicals in it, so take POWDER PROBIOTIC. Even if there are a lot of good bacteria in the intestines, if there is no food (for good bacteria), they will starve to death. Salmon, garlic, onion, sweet potato, kale, cabbage, broccoli, banana, apple(with peel), plant root (plant root inulin feeds good bacteria All THE WAY TO RECTUM)...etc. I pray for your good health ! Jesus Loves You !

I'm certainly not in your age bracket I'm 71 and I have had Crohn's disease since I was 14 years old . I have had numerous visits to the hospital and 3 resections over the years . I still suffer but diet is the key. I have always stayed positive and faith plays a big part . Many times I never thought I would see this age and be able to watch all you girls on KZbin . I love that you keep busy .I still work 2 days a week because it is good to get your mind on other things. I have my own business Electrolysis for 37 years and it has been a life saver. I love the beauty industry . Thank you for sharing your story and to all you young girls who have been diagnosed with this disease. You can still have a life , marriage, and children . My husband is the best . Prayers to you all!

Hugs to you sweetheart. I don't have Crohn's but do have digestive issues since 2014. I was feeling nauseous and lethargic I had to leave work and go to ER. I had inflammation of the colon. I didn't know what to eat except the BRAT diet for a while. I had a couple colonoscopy's and everything seemed to be normal. You know your body and you know when something is just not right. I am no way having the symptoms you have experienced, but can relate with your pain. I think our diet is probably the most important thing we can do for ourselves whether we have a disease or not. Prayers my heart goes out to you and wish you health and a bright future.

I have been fighting severe refractory Crohn’s Disease and a whole bunch of other autoimmune disease. Been fighting this since age 9, I am 46 now. Crohn’s is a systematic degenerative spectrum disease. My CD is genetic because my great grandfather, grandfather, a cousin and my own brother has it. I was stable on 6-MP for over a decade but the disease was always low grade. My body stopped absorbing it so diseases silently damaged scare tissue so bad until it really snapped and now pernament colostomy. I have had 15 surgeries, mediport and permanant disability due to neurological complications related to CD. Hugs to all the Crohnie warriors out there.

Hi. Thank you for trying to understand what your date is going through. Please also be careful with people telling you about herbal doctors and acupuncture and other such pseudosciences. Keep an open mind and if those things OBJECTIVELY help a person, and the effects can be objectively measured, then by all means, but don’t start running to herbal doctors and voodoo priestesses and chiropractors in desperate hopes of finding a cure. There is no cure for Crohn’s, regardless of what the traditional Chinese “doctor” claims.

Thank you for your honesty. I've had Crohn's since I was 11yo. 3 Bowel resections. I realize this is over a year since you made this video, but given your surgery and your comment about fatigue, please consider checking your Ferritin level and your B12 level. The small intestine at the end is responsible for absorption of these nutrients and iron. I have Iron infusions about 3x per year because I don't absorb it through diet. I also get B12 injections at home monthly.

It worked wonders until my body built up antibodies against it. I’m on Stelara now, I got the infusion on Wednesday of this week. I’ve only experienced two side effects from it, headaches and extreme tiredness. I know for sure I’ll go into remission with my new diet and a lot of prayer! Thank you for sharing this. I ove these videos as somebody who's been fighting through Crohn's disease for two years now undiagnosed an untreated until just a month ago. It has completely altered my life and I feel like I'm a prisoner to it. I have ADHD and I do concrete for a living and have a very active lifestyle that it's deeply impacted. And being I was on diagnosed for a couple years and fighting through it like an idiot of a man would my employer and family were unapologetically not understanding of what was going on and whenever I would be having extreme flare ups and was unable to go to work had to cancel events with my family everybody would say " what year was not going to come in because you have a tummy ache are you serious" and as somebody who has always prided myself on being tough and a fighter. Knowing what was going on with my body was irregular and the times I would have to take off where 100% legitimate. Not at this support or compassion and empathy of those around me caused me to go through some crippling depression at times and I've always been a happy-go-lucky very energetic person. I'm being I waited so long to get treated and formally diagnosed it's progressed to a dangerous point where my entire small bowel system is inflamed and infected on top of like large intestines also being inflamed just not as painful as the small intestines for obvious reasons. My doctors have been fighting tooth-and-nail to get me on Humira which is known for getting really good results and they're concerned if I don't get on one of the higher tier meds quickly I'll have to have surgery but insurance of course has resisted the doctor's recommendations and they have me on the budesonide as well as the anti-inflammatory you listed along with anti nausea sublingual straps. But none of it seems to be giving me relief. And I'm concerned I'm not able to find some serious relief quickly to be able to get back to work and some idea of a normal life that I will lose my benefits through my employer since you have to meet a certain amount of hours every quarter. So it's like fighting somebody with a double-edged sword while I'm using my White Knuckles. So to say the least it has been an incredible challenge and it's hard to not feel like a prisoner to it or let it Define me on a daily basis. So I'm really grateful for people like you who post this stuff. Because it gives guys like me strength, hope and courage. To face the future with a smile and trust that everything will fall into place eventually. Just can't tell you how much it means to people like me just to know we're not alone in this war. And their are lots of people who have compassion for the condition. And to not let those naysayers who would say "oh your just faking being sick" get us down. I'm not faking being sick ever but I sure as hell fake being well on a daily basis. You just can't tell cause I cause at the pain while clinching a smile. Thank you for the post sincerely 🙏 Hope your condition has more than improved. God bless

I just recently been diagnosed. The inflammation is not bad. I refuse to take any medication because it’s only going to make it worse. But I’m not eating meat anymore. Plant based diet sometimes seafood. Food is medicine remember that🔑!

I just came across this video (after finding your channel through a holiday gift guide!) and thank you so much for sharing your journey! I am dealing with another form of IBD, ulcerative colitis. I was also diagnosed in college and have been on a huge journey with it. It was so comforting to hear form another young woman who otherwise appears totally normal about your problems. I have had similar experiences - though unfortunately one of my symptoms was running to the bathroom all the time - especially with diet, feeling left out, and fatigue. I am currently on Imuran which is working OK and I have a scope next month to see if I'm healing. Thank you so much for sharing this!

I’m soooo sorry about all that you’ve been through! I just love your channel and never would’ve guessed that you were struggling with all of this! I pray that you and your doctors will be able to figure out what steps are needed to bring about maximum health for you! Thank you for sharing this! I think there are so many misconceptions about the severity of auto-immune diseases. I’m sure this has helped educate and encouraged more compassion for those suffering! Many prayers for you on your path to health!🙏

Thank you for making this video. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in December 2017. I’ve struggled so much these past 6 months. I’ve been taking Budesconide which helped but I’ve been getting a lot more pain and feel super sick which I haven’t had nausea before. I go back to see my specialist in August so hopefully he can help me. Sending lots of love 💜

Laura, the Coimbra Protocol has almost a 100% success rate to treat Chrons's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. It's a nontoxic protocol only based on supplements to treat autoimmune diseases. My mother has Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and she follows this protocol with great success. All her symptoms vanished. It does not cure the disease but put it in permanent remission and it works for all autoimmune diseases not only MS. (It has a 95% success rate to MS) There are many testimonials about it. Search for "Coimbra Protocol Summary" on google. There is a forum called ''thisisms . com''. In this forum, there are many explanations of how does it work. I can't put the link here because youtube recognize it as an advertisement (I don't know why). All the Best!

Thank you so much for putting this video out. I’m 16 and I was just diagnosed with Crohn’s July 27. As you were listing your symptoms I began to tear up because of how I related. I’ve barely even began my journey but I’m trying to use my knowledge of this illness to educate others. This video allowed me to see that I should really continue to do that. Thank you so much.

Oh honey... I teared up when you did about feeling left out when it came to eating different places. I am Celiac, lactose/soy intolerant, and have a host of other things like allergies and autoimmune conditions. I know how it feels. Our society definitely revolves around food, and you don't realize how much until something like that happens to you. Enjoyed your video so much! Thank you for sharing your story. ❤️ Stay strong.

It's very easy to feel alone and like a burden. I just found out I have ileitis and feel that way too. You live day to day rather than just living. To know what the issue is, is one less thing to worry about but keep your chin up you are definitely not alone. Hearing your story brought tears to my eyes, you are ridiculously strong.

I just found your channel a few days ago and would think “omg she is so beautiful and thin and amazingly kind and calm I wish I could be like her” and had no idea you were going through all of this. I don’t have a Crohns Disease, but I have something similar where my body doesn’t attack itself, but it attacks the food I eat. So I get very nauseous and feel like I have food poisoning but don’t. I don’t get the pain that you have but I get the nausea and occasionally the fatigue. It’s really really difficult but I’m always told by my doctors “be glad you don’t have Crohns Disease that’s even worse”. I don’t have any medications that can help with my symptoms though, I just have to deal with it, so in that way I’m a bit jealous that you can take medicines and have surgeries that can at least help some. Anyways, I have so much more appreciation for you now, I have no idea how you can go through all of that and still be so insanely beautiful. You must be a very strong person, and thank you for sharing your story.
