My Current Favorite Variegated Plants

I like variegated plants because it's always a surprise with every leaf. Sometimes they look amazing, and sometimes they are very disappointing. It's like buying a grab bag every time a leaf unfurls.

My manjula pothos is my fav plant, and syngonium albo is a very close second. ❤

On the Florida Beauty...Based on information I heard/read...If you look at the "mother stem" you should be able to see variegation on the stem. If the side of the stem that the new growth came from is all green or mostly green with the other side of the stem having more of the variegation, that may be your problem. Kaylee Ellen has talked about variegation, genetics, etc. and based on info she shared, that could be your problem and you may have to chop and prop where there's more variegation...or it may just have bad genetics. Hope it starts pushing out more variegated leaves for you!

For the Florida Beauty, you can chop it back to where it's variegated to see if the variegation returns

The Florida beauty, the bud where the new growth formed is on the green side of the mother leaf. All the growth will be green. To get variegation back it needs to produce new growth from a bud on the variegated side of the mother leaf.

So happy to see you mention the epipremnum Pinnatum albo! That’s probably my very favourite variegated of my collection and I think it’s so underrated. Another favorite is my Philodendron amplissimum silver, if you like silver variegation and long narrow leaves check that one out!

My variegated string of hearts is about 5 feet long right now and every time it gets close to reaching the floor I cut it and propagate the strands in water for 4-6 weeks and then pot them back in with the mother plant. In my experience they require more water than people think, to get big juicy leaves. It’s one of my favorite plants💕

My favorite variegated plants in my collection are my variegated philodendron bipennifolium, Philodendron strawberry shake, and my monstera aurea

Domino peace lily if you don't already have one! I love that it gets different texture as well as variegation, so pretty

My two favorites are my Albo syngonium and 3 Kings syngonium!

Syngonium 'Three Kings' and Calathea 'White Fusion' are my favorites. Also, Hoya wayetii Variegata' and Hoya carnosa 'Rubra' (aka Krimson Princess). None of them is rare, but I love them so much!

I also adore my P&J Pothos too! She's a queen! My other favorites include my Jose Bueno, Mottled Syngonium, Manjula, Ghost Euphorbia, and my 4'5" tall Balfor Aralia. 😊

I LOVE my epip pinnatum albo! She's so beautiful! My latest leaf is coming out spiraled so I'm a little concerned but hoping it's ok as it grows. Think I probably need to get it on some sort of pole now that you mentioned that it likes to climb.

Njoy is such a great plant and the variegation gets more interesting the more light it gets. My personal favorites are the manjula pothos and the lemon lime variegation on my maranta, golden pothos and ctnanthe lubbersiana. The monstera deliciosa aurea variegata is also so stunning

Congrats on the pregnancy! I’ve had variegated String of Hearts that almost died and came back with no variegation, and variegated String of pearls which bit the dust! But my favorite is a variegated Syngonium I would love to propagate it but I’m afraid I’ll kill it! Becca I love your KZbin’s keep up the good work!

The Philodendron Red Anderson is a really good looking variegated plant IMO. Also, you could try chopping your reverting florida beauty to see if the variegation comes back! I did it with mine and it is pushing good marbling variegation in every new leaves! Love your videos! 💚🪴

I got a variegated aloe in December. It’s my first and only aloe and the variegation is so beautiful! I have a mixed pot of lithos that has like 4 N Joy leaves and I so badly want it to grow so much more!

Hi Becca, I love your choices, they are so beautiful!! Variegated plants are my favorite, too! You might want to check out the Philodendron White Wizard and the Peace Lily Sensation, OMG I recently purchased both and I cannot stop staring at them!!

my VSOH lives in front of a south side facing glass slider and it always gives me the tiniest leaves even with plant food added to the water. :(((

I want a Thai so badly! But $$$$ 😢 My marble queen pothos is my fav. Yes stable, but full, grows fast, beautiful. I'm propagating it now with thoughts of putting it on a pole to get huge leaves like Syndey Plant Guy style

so far my favorite variegated is my variegated alocasia frydek. it's still a baby, but hopefully I will be able to keep it alive long enough for it to get bigger lol. other than that, I also love my aglaonema pictum tricolor. :P

I have 2 florida beauties and both reverted. i chopped them both back to a variegated leaf, and am currently awaiting those first leaves to see if it worked. Honestly, the plant has frustrated me so much, I think I'm done with them.
