Wow that quilt is going to be a real labour of love! This may change one day as I'm only fairly new to sewing, but hand sewing is one of my least favourite tasks, so I can't picture myself ever undertaking a project like that one, but yours will be incredible once it's done and it's a real heirloom piece given your attachment to the fabrics and the number of hours you'll have put into it! Very much looking forward to your upcoming dress pattern, it looks beautiful! I also bought a small amount of red denim on a whim thinking I'd make an a-line miniskirt with it, but now I'm thinking it could make a beautiful quilted tote bag with a contrasting soft pink lining (I love red & pink together). I need to let that idea percolate a little more but I'm definitely making one of your quilted tote bags soon, they are stunning!
