So just because she had an attitude justifies her being blocked by her own father for several months? That’s teenager behavior. He’s her father at the end of the day, most parents get attitudes from their kids all the time and still remain present in their lives. They could’ve talked and moved on if her father didn’t block her and act petty.
@tincredible Жыл бұрын
@@longbranch11207 She wasn't rude. She didn't once raise her voice. She simply said that she can't communicate with him honestly and openly in other settings because he loses his cool fast. Is it far-fetched that a person who wants to keep the peace would be too intimidated to open up and express their honest thoughts to a quick-tempered, verbally abusive elder/authority figure? Sadly, in our culture, we think that any view a child expresses that isn't in lockstep with the parents' view is "disrespect", even if said view is articulated calmly and tactfully. Such thinking shuts kids down from opening up and sharing their thoughts with their parents, which results in parent and child being virtual strangers to one another. So what if she called her mother and expressed her honest thoughts about him? She opened up to the parent who she obviously feels more comfortable communicating with, so the intelligent reaction to KNOWING that is to figure out how to foster a relationship with the daughter that makes her comfortable opening up and communicating her honest feelings with her dad just as she does with her mom. The answer isn't to immaturely ghost a child for almost a year. By doing that, he proved to be less mature than she is when the opposite should be true. Also, be careful what you condone as a parent: The very child you're okay with treating like they don't exist may the very person whom you one day need if you're blessed to see old age.

I understand what the daughter is saying...she's not saying that it's wrong for her dad to look at other women, what she's saying is that when he's with her (father-daughter time) and he's checking out other women, it may come across as disrespectful or "creep-like". That's why she followed her statement by asking, "would you want me to date a guy like you?" There is a time and place for everything, and "body-checking" a female in front of your daughter at any age is slightly weird, depending on how he's doing it can also cause her to look at him as a creeper.

Right. People in the comments are comparing her to a jealous girlfriend, but this is deeper than that. His ignoring her to gawk at women pours salt in a deeper wound. This is about a young lady who's gone a lifetime feeling that she's never been important enough to her father to have father's undivided attention, and his blocking and ignoring her for seven months pretty much validate that point. I suspect that if he's always been emotionally supportive and attentive parent, his glancing (but not exactly staring) at attractive women in public wouldn't have bothered her to that degree. Some perv-minded person in the comments even implied that she has an incecestuous attraction to her dad. The fact that someone's mind would dive into the gutter when discussing this suggests that they probably grew up in environments where elders did and said all kinds of inappropriate stuff in front of kids. So, they think nothing of it.

She gave her compliments and her bitter self barely acknowledged them. My parents did worst and said worst and I wasn’t acting like My word had ended. My parents never said that they loved me or gave me hugs but I knew they loved me in-spite of it all. He was wrong for blocking her and she is wrong for acting like he’s some dead beat that didn’t show her any love. I mean she gets mad because the dad flirted with other women in front of her like are you serious ?

@@longbranch11207 Sound like you have a weird trauma bond with your abusive parents then if you think she should be okay with this just because you went through worse. As parents the bare minimum you can do is uplift your child and let your children know you love them. If she didn't feel like this it's because on multiple occasions she wasn't made to feel loved. Her world ain't your world and it ain't a competition.

For the first time I'm going against the people. Everyone has a responsibility for a relationship. You demanding so much from the man. I understand that as a father you have to step up and buld a relationship with your child, but also as a child you should not think it's your father's responsibility to step up first. In short EVERYONE HAS A RESPONSIBILITY TO BUILD A RELATIONSHIP. Don't look at another person as responsible for the survival of a relationship survival, period

I don't ask her what's going on in her mother house.

Why is his daughter acting like an overbearing girlfriend? She doesn’t seem neglected at all, she just sounds like she was hurt by her father’s actions but doesn’t want any accountability of her part in it so she has to make him look extremely bad so the focus is just on him i.e she is manipulative. I’m sure she doesn’t share her problems with her mother to her father, why is it wrong for him to expect the same? The mother is shifty too. She hid the truth to support her daughter.

I don’t think this a man that needs to be judged by the audience because honestly I think it’s fixable. I don’t think they have a bad relationship. He’s being looked down upon I think his fathering way is a bit raw but he will learn I think this man loves his daughter. What happen is his raised a daughter who is just as tough as him and she’s knows herself and he’s receiving what he taught her. We don’t have enough context in this case because they could’ve worked this out off of the show.

The daughter needs to grow up also. She's 21 and nothing they say brings her out of victim mode. Maybe something happened that she not talking about but what she saying is not as extreme as she making it. The dad is tough but haven't heard no real info to back up the animosity between them. She only had a real smile when he complimented her.

I don't see the big issue with him. I can understand how he accidentally blocked her. Now he is a little big-headed and prideful, but when she got to talking about him body checking women... So? And let me clarify, I do think there are some things that he needs to work on. She has difficulty talking to him because he is stern and straightforward. I think this is where the mother can help mediate between the two of them. Okay, this the last thing.... I would feel kind of backstabbed too if you're here with me but you discussing me with someone else. I don't think being called a backstabber is the worst thing in the world. Especially after he expressed why he called her that.

Not only that but when he said that she didn’t call him for Father’s Day nor his birthday, she said it is not her responsibility to reach out first, I find this disgusting to say the least. On Father’s Day or his birthday, he shouldn’t have to reach out to her first. He also said, he send money to her for her birthday and she never even reached out to say thank you or anything. Imagine Karamo called her a 21 year old little girl, give me a darn break. If it was a 21 year old son, he would have been grown. Pathetic!

This is just like my son's father. He's so emotionally unavailable. & on top of that, he's not physically there either. & Just like what happened at the end of the video, when he is confronted about the constant pain he is causing our son, this is how it's always said, he finally admits hes wrong for what he does & "apologizes" but as soon as our son comes back to my house, he goes *right* back to never picking up the phone, never seeing him, etc. He also does the whole pushing our son off to his mom (gma..who also doesnt care to reach out to or see him) or his fiance, & when he can't have those ppl "watch" our son, he'll sleep all day while our son is left alone all morning & day to take care of his little brother (our son is 12 & his little brother just turned 4 today...), & when he does finally wake up, he goes into his gameroom all day w/ the door shut..even on our son's bdays. & that room was promised to him to be our son's room. but nope..its his gameroom, & has our son sleep on an air mattress on the floor in the living room.. & our son has autism smh!!! Our son has stopped caring to go see him & I honestly DONT want him to go there anyway bc he calls me the entire time bc he's bored, lonely & hurt😢 but he misses his little brother..😢 its the most heartbreaking thing as a mother to watch your child be so hurt by his own father & family😢 this was SO weird to watch bc this is exactly how it is for my son, & how its gonna be for them forever if nothing changes. 😢 I don't understand ppl like this smh..

She called her mom because the dad have rules which she didn’t want to obeyed. So she went to bitch to her mom. Like she is 21 years old a full grown woman . Dad felt hurt so he lashed out which was wrong . I don’t understand how parents aren’t given grace . Like the kids can’t be at fault as well. To me she is clearly spoiled and wants things her own way . If your father is fussing at you for whatever reason why pick up the phone to call your mother ? I think he’s a great dad

@@longbranch11207 who CARES if she tells her mom? what does that have to do with him? and vise versa? If the mom isn't trying to step in then the daughter can vent all day. The dad was being childish calling her a backstabber for that. I absolutely think kids can be wrong and parents should be given grace, but the end of this video showed who he was to me. Karamo made a joke about it but the minute he was handed his phone he unblocked her. But leading up to this, before handing his phone to the show, he couldn't unblock her once he realized?
