My Dad's 1958 Harley Davidson Duo Glide Pan Head

A couple years ago I talked to my Dad about his 1958 Harley Davidson Duo Glide Pan Head. I asked him some questions about the bike as this motorcycle has been part of his life as much as it has in mine. I got to go on the back of this bike many, many times.
And now finally I was able to actually ride the bike. (Video coming soon)

I really enjoyed this video. Not just for the bike, but also for the obvious love between you and your dad. My own dad has passed on, but he’s the one who gave me my love for motorcycles. I remember sitting between him and the gas tank of his Triumph, riding off down the road. I was probably about four years old. I’ve been riding since I was fourteen...am now 66, and just bought another Harley.

Great Video, I also have my dads "58". Started it uo today after storing it for three years. Just like yours all the oil pissed out. I am glad you talking about it. I didn't know it was common. Years ago in 2004 when I first got it I took it downtown Royal Oak Wednesday in Harley night.. It was a very hot day. I came out to start it and there was a crowd gathered. I kicked and kicked that bike till the sweat poured off of me. Once I got it going I swore that I would get an electric starter installed and I did. What an improvement over the kickstart. Now that's a REAL Harley! Somewhat antediluvian, but extremely cool. Love riders that stick with their machines, no matter what. Lost my dad in a motorcycle accident when I was 13. Still ride at 65. You're very fortunate my friend. Great video.
