heLLO good day!! thank you all for following along on this very special journey, i'm so glad i got to preserve these moments because they are some of my happiest memories ;-; based on various comments i've been seeing, there are a few things i wish to point out: - i'm a full-time streamer, so all of these playthroughs happened in the distant past on twitch dot tv, it just takes me a very long time to translate them into videos and upload them onto this here channel (i am literally a year behind on the playthroughs i'm editing lmaoooo) - i have already played dark souls 3 and am currently playing dark souls 2 and i love them both very much like wow how are these games so good????????? - if you're ever curious to know what i'm playing soon or what i've already played or perhaps even what my favorite games are, i actively curate this document - bit.ly/345kL8g to keep track of such things thank you once again for being here, i hope you all have a lovely and peaceful new year! be safe, and don't you dare go hollow

oh damn, you've done DS3 already? would love to see your experience with that. Hopefully that'll come to youtube one day. I think you're a wonderful player for these games, despite I know some negative comments you've gotten. You don't have to do frame perfect dodges, only spell runs, no hit runs, no death runs to be a fan of these games. I love these games but never had the reaction to their endings like you have, its really a wonderful thing to see.

According to an interview with Miyazaki, Dark Souls 1 was made with an idea of "Withered Beauty", where the world and nearly everything in it is past its prime, in a state of decay but still retains some of its nobility and beauty. That's a big reason why it evokes these emotions, this sad feeling, like something is being lost.
@DionicioRT3 жыл бұрын
When that song plays after you choose your ending, a great feeling of both accomplishment and sadness overcame me I was so happy because the journey I got the first time I played it was one I didn’t expect and got sad when I realized I would never be able to play this game for the first time again Loved all the videos on the game, first playthrough of Dark Souls is truly something special

Found this randomly in my recommendations and immediately loved how authentic you were and how clearly you loved the game. You're also very good at it, which makes it even more enjoyable to watch, compared to other "first time" players who might struggle more. It was hard to believe it was your first time, but your genuine reactions made it clear. You have a personality that is instantly likeable. Your chat did a good job leading you to the secret areas you missed, and seeing someone getting so excited putting things together is such a fun thing to see.

Im so glad you could enjoy the game and what it meant for so many of us. I played this game back when it first came out and when "Hollow" in the first 4 hours due to never having experienced something of its style and difficulty. Then after several months I picked it back up and crushed it on both Xbox 360 and later PC during its release. The music, lore and (almost) all of its bosses just made it perfect and crushing to finish the game. Massive respect to you beating it with the "toothpick", because that requires so much more mastery of the game. Best wishes and I'll have to catch up on the backlog of souls-like and other content you make

Dark Souls is such a weird game. It's a very mature dark fantasy, which envokes such a beatiful sense of melancholy and dread in the player, but it's also filled with so many mindboggeling ideas, like the mushroom people, the cat, the Anor Londo Archers, and the somewhat janky level design at times. But it still feels like a cohesive experience, where every little comical idea somehow fits within the bleak and depressing world. It's also one of the few games that envokes that same sense of wonder in me as an adult, as Zelda did back when I was a kid. My true love will forever be Bloodborne, but this game is and will forever be something uniquely special.
