A cdm is massively in need to solidify the defense, with that pogba could play as the going forward cdm/cm. Atm the defence is all over the place. I mean, United finished 2nd last season and got EL final. They added 2 world-class players with experience in winning everything (one of them being one of the greatest players of all time), and England's most exciting youngster who tore it up in the Bundesliga. Why wouldn't *anybody* think that United would be challenging for the league this season with Liverpool performing sub-par last season (because of injuries mostly tbf) and Man City not having a striker? And also, Varane was a bargain, and United made more money off of Ronaldo shirt sales than they had spent signing him. So, not bad business done by the club there...

As a proper United fan, this post match interview from Ole really did not give me any confidence at all and I mean literally none. He said all the things I didn't want him to say and said none of the things I wanted to hear. I think he is either blind to what the real problem actually is or he has 0% control over his players. The fact is we have 1 of the lowest work rates in the premiership, that is where the problem starts and if they cannot get the basics of football right then we have no chance in winning anything or being a consistent winning team which is what you need to be if your Manchester United manager. Ole has brought this team as far as it can go and I'm happy with the progress but I cannot see him taking us any further. Losing at home without scoring and conceding 5 goals to our arch rivals is unforgivable and after this interview from him it cannot get any worse. I don't think I've ever felt this unhappy as a United fan.
