I remember reading an article that said DARLING in the FRANXX is produced by Japan's best animators and such, something along the lines of "if this were the World Cup, this [production team] would be the National Team." In China DARLING in the FRANXX is also referred to as “国家队” （national team）due to the high levels of those who created this anime series. Sry for rambling
