Ugh yep, relatable. I grew up in strict Christian religion and same thing. Makes girls/women very vulnerable. Took me some time to figure out what I want and when.

I have 3 daughters and I also would loose my mind if any of them came home with a mormon. No one needs to be treated like mormon men treat women especially your dog.

I can relate. I definitely had some similar things happen to me on dates, like you described. I was fighting off their unwanted advances!! I didn’t have that experience with ALL LDS guys, but it happened enough times to give me pause. I also asked myself later why I got into a vehicle with men I barely knew. Why didn't I just agree to meet them somewhere for the date... at least until I knew them better and felt like I could trust them? Seems like that's a better idea & would possibly help protect against date rapes. It's what I am going to encourage my daughters to do. Why are we so trusting? I feel we shouldn't be. I did sometimes feel treated better by non-LDS men. Good for you for reporting the lawyer. That is super creepy, unprofessional & such a turnoff frankly! I had an older LDS supervisor (owner of the company) in Mesa, AZ (he was married & it was circa 1995). He sexually harassed me as a 26 year old. He was in his 50s. I later found out it happened to multiple young women who worked there, most of us were LDS. He was a convert who preyed on younger single women. It's my theory that he must have joined the church (at least, partly) so he could have greater access to young, naive women like myself.

I've said this exact thing before. The lack of teaching appropriate boundaries leads to inappropriate behavior. Since they've already crossed the line set by the religion, they don't know where the actual line is.

Wow that’s so crazy that happened. I’m so sorry. Literally I had the exact opposite experience. When I went out with nonmembers of the church I had only a first date because of this type of harassment. Then switched back to members of the church and had zero problems getting harassment or attacked. Hope you meet a great guy because you are amazing.

Because she thinks she can speak generally about every "Mormon". I understand why she's upset, but her bitterness has gotten the best of her. She prefers to just slander everyone. Meanwhile there are plenty who leave the church and can figure out that many of the bad experiences they had were also about their own family or are not a problem with every person in the church.

In my view, if you are so bored with your marriage that you are constantly searching for opportunities to cheat on your wife, I don't want to hear any comment from you on the sanctity of marriage. I also tend to hold the view that those who are the most pious in public have the most sexually deviant private lives. Kudos to you for having the endurance to endure all of the stories that you described here.

There's another ex-mormon youtuber who claims mormons actually respect chastity vows, but I see it's not true... as I suspected

Unfortunately that study about Utah being the highest consumer of online corn is old & not very sturdy. Other studies have shown usage is definitely above average in usage, but isn’t the highest. It sure would be great to have another current more rigorous study published. Other studies have shown Idaho’s usage being very low, way below average & that don’t seem right either.

"Like every Mormon"....stop it. I'm sorry about your experience. I believe it. It's not good. And there are cultural problems and not all of them does the church get excused from culpability of. However, your parents are the main problem if you didn't learn about human sexuality and respect. It was a very important topic in my LDS home growing up because it was important in the home of my grandparents as well. Do not speak for all of us. With that said, good on you for exposing that married man. So much respect for that.

Jacob, Mormon men don't take no for a final answer, but if you bite their penis hard enough, they seem to understand that. Should women bite off penises when we are sexually assaulted because the human jaw has enough torque to crush and sever the human penis. I like science 😊
