Good little film. This is what happened in the end: mum went up to see the boyfriend a few times, then he found another girlfriend and kept them both going for a while, then told the mum where to go. The daughter soon forgot about him, and found another boyfriend. The horrid mum then found herself back at square one, but worse, because she felt guilty about how she'd tricked her daughter. This caused her to be even more pissed off with life. Now, a few years later, she's a bitter old hag.

You're missing the ending, jash, you created a tragic character without includng the tragedy. You left her moral crisis unresolved, so it just comes off as some lusty short. She is supposed to lose in the end because she is a pathetic character. Ending: The mom goes to the domes where she has an dry sexual experience with the boyfriend (to counterbalance the pool experience - water, wet, sweat). She can endure his stamina and his rough acts because she is a calloused divorcee, but she doesn't derive pleasure. Boyfriend can tell she is faking but doesn't let-on. They are sitting in her car, after their 1st experience, at the domes - mother: so... next month? boyfriend: we'll see (scowls, pulls door handle hard, gets out of car) Next few scenes, mother seems somewhat empowered, as though she won and can beat boyfriend at his own sex game. Until... daughter arrives home with boyfriend again, more in love with him than before. Mother corners boyfriend- Mother:(furious) we had a deal Boyfriend:(coldly) No. You had a deal. Daughter eventually finds out about boyfriend and mother, big shouting match with mother, ex husband arrives - Daughter: (shouting) you bitch! I hate you!! Ex husband: (just arriving) daughter just called me in hysterics, what's going on?! Daughter: (bawling on father) she had sex with my boyfriend!! Ex husband: (now hugging daughter) is this true?! Mother: you don't understand. She was going to give up Brown. I had to do what was best for her. Ex husband just shakes his head in disgust as her actions finally sink in.
