This is exactly how I was introduced to Flying my dad had a cub 1947 I think. I know it had a Franklin engine. I was about the same age as this little girl. I sat in the front seat couldn't see anything out the front windshield had to look out the sides my dad was 6 ft 5 so i had his long legs next to me. I earned my pilot's license at 18 years old and ended up becoming a commercial pilot. I still remember taking my dad up few months before I had my license shortly before he died. I still don't regret bending the rules. No radio, no lights, no Electric System, a simpler time.

Meanwhile my mom was flopping the controls over to my side so I could see how the controls worked. I had to stand on the see]at to see outside. We flew up to Myrtle Beach to stay at a nice hotel on the beach. My granddad taught my mother in 37. My dad learned in a hurry to fly B17’s in 42. This month, I’ve had my license for 51 years. Flight kinda sticks to your ribs and you can’t stop. This lassie’s pink heads are so cute.
