Hi thank you for watching. I brought the excursion through royal Caribbean directly, since labadee is considered their private island. That is the easiest way to enjoy labadee unless you want to venture off to the main land. Please see the FAQ video I recent did about the trip as it may answer some of the question. Royal is the only boat that will go there. It’s like any other port you spend the day there.

Hi, thank you for sharing! you mentioned that you could have gone to main land with your passport. How would I arrange that? Is it an excuraion through the ship? My cruised is in July.

hi @elnableakney2464, Thank you for the comment. Well going to main land you would need to make arrangement for sure. In the past, you can search excursions outside of the cruise line and they would be waiting for you outside the gate. Usually the tour company you book with will tell you where to meet them. You would need a passport to get on to the main land. I do not know what will you will need to do or if they need to stamp you when you get out. I know the Canadian Zipline instructor says he's out in Cap-Haitian every night and it is safe and Fun. If its your first time in Haiti and do not have a connection to get you around, I would suggest staying in the Royal Caribbean peninsula and enjoying it. The next cruise trip there then go offsite. I say this for safety and convenience. Driving takes time plus there's is one lane road usually mountain, so you do not want to run into delays. Take the July trip to ask the workers. Hey I have a question, are you allowed to get off the tour boat and sightsee then hop back on

Hi Tracy, unfortunately No. the boat is just to see from the tour boat. This particular tour boat comes close to the island and theirs other fisherman’s on their own boat that would be coming close to sell souvenirs. However, there were other excursions that did take you to like 2-3 little isle and you would get off and stay on the isle for a few hours. We wanted to see and do as much possible so we did this one. But there were some excursions I do recall and it’s still part of Royal; I doubt it would be owned by mainland Haiti. You can start looking on their website for excursions at Labadee to see which one you want to go on. But keep an eye out of their sales/discounts on the excursions after you’ve booked the main cruise. Hope it helps

How did you book your tour?

Hi, I booked this cruise with the Royal Caribbean directly. Since this is considered their private island, it may be easier to book through them. Usually Royal will have a sale on their excursion maybe a month or 2 before the trip or after you've book. You can research excursion outside of Royal but it will require you to go with your passport to leave the premises. As Haiti is going through transition it may be best to book with Royal this time. Hope this helps
