Fun fact: those maple-colored furniture in the room were originally bought for the Fontainebleau around 2009. Plaza Hotel bought them at auction when Fontainebleau went bankrupt the first time.

Your comments are spot on. If it isn't the Luxe Room, then I would recommend staying elsewhere. Those Luxe Rooms are nice because I find hardwood floors to be easier to keep clean.

The plaza has and always will be a classic. Use to just stay always when the Greyhound station was next door. I'll pop for some gaming and some pizza slices whenever I'm in town. Appreciate the review. Keep it up.

We love the Plaza but have always stayed in the Luxe rooms. We’ll be there in 3 weeks and staying in the deluxe room this time. We spend very little time in our room so as long as it’s clean with a comfortable bed, that’s all we need. Appreciate the review and subscribed to your channel! Good luck to you!

I've always stayed at the south tower, as I enjoy especially quiet rooms. My experience there has always been fantastic. Like yourself, I appreciate the restaurants, casino and other amenities that Plaza offers. Thanks for the balanced review. cheers

Great review! What a shame. That room was large and looked to have some real potential. But bad housekeeping sadly, has become the normal these days it seems in Vegas. I agree that bathroom was a issue when we stayed there We had a two queen room. We liked the pool, the coffee place next to the check in desk, Hash House A Go Go and Pink Donuts.

I was in our local Walmart and 50" TVs are $200 or less now. No excuse for the Plaza to have a TV smaller that my PC monitor. I want to like the Plaza but don't want to pay to stay in a gross room. They could also add a little more wall art with some color.

It looks like an old holiday inn room more than a casino resort room. I would have changed rooms. Love that the plaza has a smoke free section, I wish all the casinos would go smoke free. It's especially gross when the restaurants are open to the casino floor and you're trying to eat when people walk by smoking. 👎

I've been to the Plaza a couple of times. I had an issue with parking so I contacted customer service. I was told they would get back to me, which they didn't. I contacted them again to ask about my complaint and still no response. If a business has this kind of customer service, I stop doing business with them!

Great review! I just stayed there a week ago. This is not a 4 star hotel. As advertised on several travel sites.. My room was noticeably cleaner than yours. One of my biggest complaints in the room was the sink in the bathroom. It's flat bottomed??? So nothing drains and debris hangs out in the corners of the sink. And the sinks looked kinda new, can't believe they installed them. I also agree with the TV option I chose to watch items on my laptop as the TV was too small and too far away.

Nothing worse than a dirty room. Our stay at plaza the room was clean, but it was also a newer room. I love the plaza too, and always make a trip there, but honestly if my room looked like that I’d complain to change rooms, and add it to my do not stay list. We had a room look a little worse than that at Golden Nugget, and they switched us to another room and it was night and day. Must just be luck of the draw who cleans it, but for things like the water spots and wall stains, that’s a repeated offense of neglecting to clean over time.

Good review! Icky room! I guess I've been lucky, no issues the last 8 stays or so. Pop up Pizza is decent, but for nearly the same price and a short walk, Pizza Rock can't be beat! I'll be back at the Plaza this coming Friday for the CJI BJJ Tournament at T&M so I hope I get a clean room and its not now the norm to get dirty fuzzballs of unknown origin...eeeww

I stayed in the south tower month and half ago, same bathroom. No full size mirror. The room was very depressing, one sad picture on the wall. Never going back, unless they renovate those rooms. I spent one night in Fremont Casino and those rooms are much much better.

You did not have a unique cleaning mishap - I had an almost identical experience in December. Room was not clean, bathroom doorknob was falling off, weird splatter in too many places to mention, tv did not work, safe was broken. I was assured it would be taken care of, but that never happened. Love the vibe of the place, but the basic rooms are basically gross

I am a huge Plaza fan as well. I always stay in the Luxe rooms in the North Tower. They might be a few dollars more but they are worth it. (To me) Enjoy your work!!!

Plaza is one of our 'go to' rooms on Fremont. Cleanliness of your room is a big disappointment. I stayed at 4 Queens recently with very low expectations that were far exceeded. No resort fees. No frills on the room, but significantly cheaper than both Plaza and The D during the summer and the room was plenty tidy.

I really love The Plaza. They have made some great improvements over the years. My only complaint (and hope for their next change) is the scent they pipe in throughout the casino and property. The current scent smells like a men's room urinal cake. It's just NOT a pleasant smell. As soon as they replace that smell, I will frequent The Plaza more often.

Plaza comps are trash compared to most competitor properties and they have the nerve to charge a resort fee on a comp room. No thanks Plaza! I’ll stay elsewhere

I don't pay a resort fee on comps at the Plaza. I was confused about my offer I got. 3 Free Nights $25 Dining Credit $50 FreePlay(Table or Slot) I realized if you read the Terms it says FreePlay is based on the amount of comp nights. So I can redeem 50×3. Only place I know that charges a resort fee on comps is Golden Nugget(sometimes), ClubOne (Weekend Comps).

The loveseat is just across from the bathroom. Why would you ever sit there. That entire side of the room has no purpose. It's an aging hotel from the 70's and very much looks it.

If Plaza would make an effort to update the cheaper rooms (re: clean) it would be an absolute marvel. Its hard to be "everything here is awesome EXCEPT..." when you have Circa so close, kicking your butt. I hope Plaza continues it's re-imagining and branding. It could easily become a top destination choice downtown.

With all the projects Plaza has and is undertaking to improve the property, I can only assume they have plans to touch additional rooms. Circa's amazing aesthetically, but Plaza has a lot of value appeal that Circa doesn't touch. IMO it already is a top destination DT - At least, it is for me.

@@StalkingTheStrip Derek has done some nice things down town, but I'll no longer stay at his properties or gamble there. Very poor comps, music is just way too loud, table minimums are set to pay back all his new buildings in the shortest time possible. But I will go to his awesome sportsbook, Victory Burger, and of course Andiamo has been a huge favorite for years.... though with all the comps Plaza gives me I just stick to Oscars most of the time and its amazing!

@@StalkingTheStrip I did this 3 years ago in Vegas, and learned how much about this topic. I did rooom tours and live streams. It was fun for a short period of time. You are still new and have lots to learn. You don't live in Vegas, so it will take you time. Once you get to about 20 trips, you will recognize if it is a good fit for you... Or not.
