afromamaful Special way? Not at all, my sister. I just wash when the spirit moves me, 😆 and oil my scalp when it's super dry. Then do protein treatments now and again (as seen above). Then apart from the styling now and again (ie putting it in curls), I just leave it alone pretty much. However, if I was to advise someone else, I would suggest ensuring that the hair gets serious moisture treatment at least once every 2 weeks. In my experience moisture, moisture and more moisture is key for healthy color treated locs. I hope that answers your question. Thanks for checking the video out, btw. Shalom Sis! ❤

Love love love this 😍. Well done Chi. 👍🏼 Super proud of u. Got a question, you started with the 3-lock twist , how did you deal with under growth?
@thechichichanel7 жыл бұрын
Thecla, my darling sister! Thank you for watching! For the new growth, I use a latch-hook/crochet pin to weave in the new growth into the rest of the loc. I'll show you in subsequent videos. Thanks for subscribing as well!

Your locs look very pretty with a nice personality, how did the length grow without getting lumpy? When I interlock, I can feel the difference and hope they do not grow out with lumps in them. I just started braid locs in March, not alot of videos out there. Keep the videos coming.
@thechichichanel7 жыл бұрын
Reneelotus Hey, thanks for tuning in. Deeply appreciate it. Hmmmm...the lumps, eh? Well, make sure that as you are re-tightening also ensure that you are pulling the loc completely through to avoid the loc getting stuck some of the way causing the lump/bump, know what I mean? Somebody also suggests that after tightening the loc to quickly roll the loc thru with the fingers to get a smoother loc over time similar to the cylindrical shape of traditional locs. I hope that makes sense...😆
