When you find it hard to pick a TBR, then just have your dog do it!!!

The Moon is down was my first Steinbeck, because it was the only Steinbeck my library had available at the time. I loved it and it convinced me to read more. Also in this case I would recommend reading the introduction but at the end. If it's the same intro my copy had (which was a Penguin) it discussed the time and context the book was written and published and I found that story fascinating too.

Very enjoyable and Willow was very good at picking. I wonder if Willow's ignoring of Tolstoy is a message? Could be! I would add a Beatrix Potter, her stories are nice comfort reads and lovely for a 24 hour read a thon.

Adorable. Altho Merchant of Venice ends with a wedding, no director has an easy time presenting it as a comedy. As such, it's often described a Romance. I hope you've seen Al Pacino's version, in which he stars as Shylock, a Jewish moneylender with a spoiled daughter. I was planning on going back to Proust tomorrow, 8/20, but instead I'll read reread Merchant, in order to try to feel current. Thx, I enjoyed.

8:19 the last part is in portuguese, that's why you can't read it. I think the first part says “my vintage hometown. With love Zean ( don’t know if that’s the name) dio ( don’t know what’s dio or do)” the second part in portuguese says “ Peso da régua. Portugal” or in English “ ruler weight. Portugal”. I don’t speak portuguese just spanish, sorry if I’m wrong :)
