Wow! I'm a new collector and have been struggling with this part of my life. I just unboxed a bunch of dolls and accessories I bought 2 years ago. I had boxed everything away for a while because I was embarrassed that I was a 48 year old mom who loved barbies. My son doesn't judge, but my husband is still trying to understand. Hi! Dear Kenzie, I am just 8 years younger, have around 15-20 dolls in my “collection” and do not regret buying each and every of them. Dolls are the result of amazing work of so many talented people and they reflect our inner world, our dreams, our ideals of beauty at the same time. Let’s be proud of ourselves: we found a way to find outer expression of all these marvellous things!

Congratulations on your display and thank you for sharing it. It is inspiring to see a collectors' display and to hear the history. I too was very private/ashamed to let people know I collected dolls. Then, one day, I stopped caring and if someone tried to shame me or judge me, I knew they weren't a real friend. Now I enjoy my collection and have supportive ppl in my life. I wish you the best. Your setup is so luxurious. Im definitely getting ideas from it for my own.

Nice Back Stories Chaymie... Thank You for sharing... I began collecting dolls around 4 years, starting when COVID-19 happened and had several Barbie Made-To-Move as starter just for the sake of taking Dolls Photography as something to do on my spare time at home -- and then the collection grew to Fashionistas Line (only the tall ones)... and now I have almost 100 dolls including all series of BMTM and Barbie Looks Season 1st Wave, 2nd Wave and 3rd Wave... 😅😅😅

Hello, they were all custom-made by my interior decoration contractor so I wouldn't know where they sourced them from. But they are made of Blockboard and tempered glass.
