Time flies whenever I’m ‘dollshousing’ too and never seem to achieve as much as I think I’m going to! Lovely seeing the living room done now and the dining room well on its way! When I started to do coving I got in a right old pickle too so I made myself a ‘birds eye view’ diagram with all the mitre angles drawn on and it worked for me…I also write the letter ‘C’ for the part that is to be stuck to the ceiling. The things we have to do 😅… With regards to making carpets and rugs - I make mine using two strands of embroidery floss on 22ct fabric. They do come out much finer that way. The first one I made I used a kit which came with crewel wool and as you say it did seem quite large for 1:12 scale. Well I’m already looking forward to the next episode 😊….x Little Muntjac is gorgeous - a beautiful sight ❤

I'm so jealous of your garden visitor. The only four-legged guests we entertain in the garden are the neighbours' cats and our own dog! As your sweet little visitor seems to enjoy visiting a miniaturist's garden... maybe a 'little' name like Minnie, or a 'deer' name like Dorcas or Tabitha?

Julie, you could not be more right about having, "A think" in front of the Dollhouse. I have gained many an inspiration sitting and looking over mine conceiving of decor and design ideas. As well as touching up places in it. It definitely gets the creative juices flowing, especially if you have been on a sabbatical. Love your work and how you have shown how easy it is to make Dollhouse pieces saving so much money. As for the beautiful fawn in the backyard, I think Betty or Rosie would be ideal. Looking forward to the tutorial on making area rugs.

Your deer appear quite different than the ones here in the United States. We have a doe who has twins here ever year. What joy to watch her and the fawns. How about ‘Dilly’ for your doe’s name. She certainly is a dilly.

I've just been re watching the episode when you are making make-up brushes. Would it make it easier for you to get a tight clump of bristles to stick on the end of a cocktail stick if you were to tie a clump tightly together with a strand of cotton while they are still attached to the main brush before cutting the clump free? Just a thought. I love watching precision work I really do. That's how I think too!
