I can’t believe such an amazing yarn shop has been so close to me and I didn’t know about it. I drove up this afternoon to visit and it was just as amazing in person!

I’m sort of in the same boat. I grew up in Waterloo, Iowa. I’ve lived in Dubuque since getting married 40 years ago. This is the first I heard of it. I used to drive the 20 minutes to Galena IL for Yarn at Fiber Wild, I learned to knit sock there. I learned to knit and crochet at Yonkers before we had children. I’ll have to stop by one day.

Can’t wait to visit the shop! We are planning a fall trip, soon- I hope! DK weight has always been my favorite. I am a Crocheter. I hope you have a few of those too. As for shipping, it has gone up everywhere. Thank you, Natalie, for visiting all these amazing yarn shops! What a gift!

We recently moved to Vinton, Iowa from Cedar Rapids. Now that we live less than 15 minutes from Urbana, I have to curb my yarn urge to every other week. Otherwise, I'd have to get a part-time job to help me feed my yarn stash. This is such a wonderful store with an amazing variety (with price points for every budget)! And, they have my favorite brand - Malabrigo!

I'm so tempted since I'm in Walker.... but I don't know how to knit OR crochet and I haven't been able to find any classes locally either. YT has been mostly a miss :\

Hi Natalie and Kent. Another great yarn tour. I wish I could go visit and stay all day. I love that it is a family business that is the combination of a cafe and that they sell other products that tie in with each other. Great they cater for the community Thankyou.

Natalie and Kent I’ve loved watching your LYS tours and so excited to finally see Iowa! This is not too far up the road from me and I will be making a trip soon I hope to see it in person. I don’t know of any other shop close and I miss the one we used to have here. If any other eastern Iowa knitters know of shops please let me know! Thank you again for all of your content.

It is “fingering yarn “ isn’t it ? Not “fingerling? “ I have a friend who owns a yarn shop … so I have a “general “ idea of what’s involved . I have to say that THIS SHOP in this video has more up front investment than I have ever seen !!!- and yet the owner calls it fingerling yarn . It’s like “the ultimate “ yarn shop… checks all boxes . An amazing story thank you so much for your tours Natalie ❤❤
@MikeWhitney-cg8ez3 ай бұрын
Perhaps the owner was nervous being on camera and mispronounced "fingering". This lady definitely knows her yarn and would never think to correct someone who mispronounced a word.

Not quite the story. Lol Blood sweat and tears of being an ER nurse for a LOT of years, him working his heart out up the corporate ladder and sacrificing home time for work travel. I've never known a couple, a family, that works so hard to get where they are and give back so much to the community. They truly are a blessing to all of us. They have become our family. ❤
