Thank you, your experience sharing is different from those KZbinrs who never work at a Cloud engineer in big companies

Different companies do different things. My role also changes every now and then based on needs and priorities.

Nice. Now I need to get my lazy butt back to studying. Videos like these get motivated. Keep doing what you do.

Awesome! I’m glad they get you motivated. Honestly, motivation is what is most responsible for success. Good luck to you!

Another great video. As someone trying to get into this position it helps seeing what you really do without having to guess. I'm most interested in scripting and Infrastructure as Code which it looks like it is almost 50 percent or more of your job. Does this sound right? Also, how much direct customer/ user interaction do you do?
@carolinechiari2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I think 50% would be fair, but it really depends on the week. I do some direct consumer/user interaction, but it’s in conjunction with a project. Definitely interact with users multiple days a week.

I forgot to ask, how often do you make use of Python or SQL in your current role? Also would you say using Azure helps you code less? I just wanted to get rough idea about the amount of coding that is expected, thanks again 🙌
@carolinechiari2 жыл бұрын
I rarely use Python and I never use SQL. And I do code a lot because we are moving to infrastructure as code. That being said, azure is very user friendly.

@@carolinechiari it seems infrastructure as a code is everywhere now. I think you mentioned in one of your videos that you code with shell scripting, is that correct? By the way I really can't thank you enough for responding to my tedious questions 🙌

Yeah, infrastructure as code is the new thing for cloud computing. The more cloud computing advances, the more likely it is that it will become a requirement for cloud jobs.

Excellent video again! I have recently passed AZ-900 and DP-900. Currently focused on learning Python and SQL. I'm not sure if I should do AZ-104 or DP-203. I want to work as a Cloud Data Engineer in the end, so what do you think my next Azure certification should be?
@carolinechiari2 жыл бұрын
I think DP203 makes the most sense, but they are both worth it. Our data engineers at work do put infrastructure requests in, so knowing infrastructure would definitely be a plus.

@@carolinechiari thanks a lot for your response. I have also managed to sign up for a free Terraform course(probably an introductory course) with Pluralsight. I think they have a promotion giving out one of five courses for free if you haven't joined their platform before. I thought some of your followers might benefit from it.
