F*ck yeah Aqua, just as I tought you couldn't get any cooler you bring up the Dequitem channel. They are fighting with steel training swords called Feder schwert. They are used in HEMA( Historical European Martial Arts) and are quite safe if you are using the right gear. They still go really hard on each other. Keep up the good work my fellow old man!

Looks like Dequitem's channel? They are more padded with better steel and using unsharpened/rounded tips weapons. You can get hurt but they aren't "trying to kill each other". They will use historical armor/weapons and techniques though, super interesting. Oh and the steel of their blade is a bit more springy than the originals, for safety.

about the swordfight in the beginning: The armor they're wearing is made of titanium but to the same weight of the traditional steel armor, making it significantly more durable than said steel plate. I'm not sure about the swords but I assume that they are dull or otherwise fencing-grade. However, I consider these fights "real" as they do not seem to be pulling any punches, so to speak. That is a very accurate representation of how armored knights would fight back in the day. I should mention however that they are not actively trying to kill each other, and they do seem to take safety precautions.

I have died many times by finally getting boss and instead of sitting g back far and slowly picking them off. I will get impatient and rush and half the time I end up dying. The armor stuff isnt necessarily fake, there's legitimate sports involving fighting with weapons and full armour, and you can be quite brutal with the weapons without getting hurt because of all the armour lol. Also swords are not really effective against suits of armour, it would be more dangerous if they were using a spiked mace or something.

Aqua the renaissance fair in Ohio has these types of fights live every year 1v1 2v2 3v3 It is not fake, the blades are dull, the armor is real, and bludgeoning weapons typically KO people. The last fights I saw had a dude get slammed face first into the wall of the ring so fun

Usually the weapons for HEMA (historical European martial arts) are blunted or unsharpened rather than "live" edge. That doesn't rule out injuries but they're unlikely to lose a major amount of blood from one.
