Feel like the 'old school' British brands (older Laura Ashley, Cath Kidston) do really well because there is a perception their current versions aren't as good quality now they've been taken over. I'm not sure if that's a true perception, but definitely good for the older items! Good to see you doing well in Q4 - right choice to sell the pans... they're just not as practical / easy as a decent set of metal ones (I don't shell out on many things, but pans I do... Meyer and Zwilling are my faves to look out for).

Good sale on the Corning ware but the comments were wrong - it's true Pyrex (borosilicate glass) which is virtually unbreakable. I have things that my parents bought in the 60s and have been in daily use ever since, including all the usual drops, dings and misuse that you expect with a busy family. The stuff to avoid is after they sold their domestic wares division to China in 1998. All stuff sold new now won't have Corning on it. Unfortunately not all old stuff has Corning either but if it does you can be certain it's pre-1998. The Chinese use the brand name Pyrex but don't bother to use the proper recipe, which keeps their costs down and their profits up. This new stuff can shatter in microwaves or on the floor and is no more durable than anything else. I once managed to break an old 1950s pyrex pie dish - when it slid off a windowsill and dropped two storeys onto concrete. It snapped in half with almost no chips, another feature of true pyrex.

No point in testing a scratched game if it’s heavy or deep. Can play fine half way through the game then crash. On the Xbox 360 ones try to install the actual game by pressing y takes about a hour but will not install if it’s damaged.
