My opinion...EDC bag should be mostly empty. It's for carrying what you will or may likely need that day: laptop, lunch, book, phone charger, maybe some basic first aid like bandaids, pain killers, etc. For a normal person, this stuff belongs in an emergency bag in their vehicle. Nonetheless, this bag is great for getting an extra workout in daily.

YAY! Mike you are back online! Really happy to see you mate! (I used to watch all your outdoor videos when I was in Hospital 2 years ago. Back home now & Housebound). Really cool EDC (as usual). Please make more, or keep us informed that you are safe mate! Very best of luck with all your expeditions. p.s. one of my random stupid comments alert: What do you think about adding a SPOT Connect, A Quad-Band Nokia or Sony simple Phone fully charged with all your urgent Family - Friends numbers on it and unregistered with a PAYG Sim, Spare Emergency US Dollars (for travelling) and for constant travelling (when I used to be able to travel and was okayish in health about 4/5 years ago) loved using the Gerber RECON. I also added the Style PS as it is TSA Proof (though I bought it recently but didn't know it existed back then! Duh! LOL)? - May help! Stay safe mate, lots more when ever you can. Warm regards.

Good video and a solid overall loadout. One thing I was wondering about. You have gear for your job and some gear for the field in the same bag. Unless your security position requires woods work, you could split the gear and save yourself some space and weight for your daily EDC. You could then plus up your woods survival bag with more well rounded gear and you would have the best of both worlds. Scott

You should keep those 18650 batteries protected. They can have a super violent and fire causing reaction when shorted. Which is easy to do since the whole battery is the negative except for the top. One scratch in the wrapper and all your gear is on fire.

A question regarding the glow-in-the-dark "Night Stick" tab. That looks like a great idea. Is it a product, or something you made?I've found glow-in-the-dark paracord that could be used to mark zipper tabs, but plastic tabs such as you have that the user could label would be awesome.
@wall2rockclimber9 жыл бұрын
+PTT Liberty hi, not sure if you meant the Plastic Glotube (Heinnie.com) or the velcro glow patch (Amazon.co.uk)
@pttliberty93339 жыл бұрын
+wall2rockclimber I was referring to the Nitestik Safety Marker. In the mean time, I found a way to make my own glow-in-the-dark zipper pull tabs and labels. I obtained some glow-in-the-dark hot glue sticks. I cut the top half off of a bobby pin to use as an eyelet, I heat it up, and melt it into the end of a half stick of the glow-in-the-dark hot glue. I then melt on a paper label by pressing it into the glue stick with the flat of a heated flathead screwdriver. I can then lacquer over the paper to prevent water damage, once labeled. These tabs are flexible, have a nice rubbery grip, glow in the dark, and can be labeled with whatever is stored behind the zipper. I put one on every bag that contains a first-aid kit on the zipper pull to that pocket, labeled with the red-on-white cross. If they hold up, I'll have to do a video showing their construction and use!

Looks like a load of gear and it looks like all useful stuff, i think you like to haul a lot of gear around on your job ( and why not ) i think you treat it as a bit of a hobby, to me it is like driving a 150 mph car when the speed limit is 70 mph which is ok in my book . Only thing i would suggest 30 litre bag or even a 40 litre rather than 20l stuffed to the gills with all that extra add on's . To be fair you didn't fill it with 10 knives & 3 axes or ak 47 + 500 bullets unlike some EDC bags i've seen ha. Thanks for showing use your kit .

20 liter?, that looks like 40L, or more. I smile when I see packs with a handcuff key. Having such a key in pants pocket or belt makes some sense. Storing it in an interior compartment of a back pack is ...unrealistic. I do like having a similar back pack with me, but it almost always stays in the vehicle. For a daily carry man-purse, I might carry a water bottle bag with extras in there.

I don't like defining what is an "EDC bag" vs. a 72 hour "bugout bag" vs. a "Get Home Bag" vs. a "INCH Bag" (I am Never Coming Home), however, this seems to be alot of stuff for an EDC bag. Also, what type of medical training do you have? You have alot of medical gear. You probably have more than most combat medics have on them. Do you know how to use all of that medical gear properly? I also wonder why exactly a Security Officer would need so much medical gear? Some of it I understand, however, your medical kit seems overkill for a Security Officer.

was interested to see what was in the several kits in your medical section. Now all we can do is guess what is in there :-( Couldn't help thinking that you wre bluffin and playing tough guy with your assumptions about your 'security work' and going to many places. The contents of your bag sure did not confirm such assumptions. Seemed you were trying to impress people by playing James freakin Bond. :-) I'm not impressed at all tho... I have seen alot of people pull out medical gloves and I am screaming at the screen because you will cause infection in a medical emergency your gloves should be 100% sterile and you can get thwm in any pharmacy that they are sealed
@thefinancedude45446 жыл бұрын
the gloves are not to stop others from infection it is to provide a barrier for yourself if it happens to be another person your helping
@Damo-hp7bc6 жыл бұрын
jordan grosjean that might be the case but if you are dealing with an injury open wound for both you and the person you are helping you woulf be better off with sealed gloves
@JeroenS9356 жыл бұрын
Really? You think the bullets fired in someone’s chest were sterile too? Or the knife someone has been stabbed with? Gloves are to protect you from all possible body fluids.
