Hey Sophie, i just finished watching your video and got very emotional at the end of it. I have the exact same situation with you, applied right away when they just opened the vacancy(around August) and for months i hadn't heard anything back from them. I was refreshing the page night and day and finally in 2022 i successfully completed the online interview and long form application, and I have my final interview coming in two weeks!! I've been rejected in the interview for 3 times. I got to attend some training courses for flight attendant preparatory cause I would say I'm not an expert in professional grooming specifically make-up and hairstyle, plus I don't know any of the basic deportment, etiquette and professional airlines personality development. Even though I'm not coming from a hospitality and customer service background, I deserve to take a chance to go for the emirates' interview. I'm literally panicking, I'm an Indian and 22 years old. I know this video is like 7 months old, buuuuut. I have really considered applying for a role with emirates, but I'm just shy of the 160cm minimum requirement (I'd still apply to see) but moving away from family absolutely petrifies me. If I was to apply for a cabin crew it would probably be in Australia, or in the UK where I'm orginally from as most of my family is back there. How did you feel when you first moved away?

Moving away from my family was the worst part, I’m such a home bird but it was the best decision I’ve never made. It’s given me so much independence and a life I would of never seen. I still speak to my family multiple times a day and fly back every now an then. Honestly try it, if you don’t like you can always leave 🥰 but once’s you get the taste to travel it’s hard to leave ahaha!

Quick question Are they going to employ 3000 new cabin crews as stated on their website ? Or, only 3000 will be eligible for assessment day out of the number of people who applied worldwide.
