What a genius and clever build you done on your canoe. I have the very same Canoe and would be interested in buying a setup like you done on yours if you would make a copy of your design for sale

do you have a suggestion as to how I can attach a bow eye to mine? I need to winch it up on a ramp
@FFHTV6 ай бұрын
Hi Rebecca! I would recommend that you use the bow handle itself as the bow eye to winch the canoe. 😊👍

Did it negatively affect paddling it? Also where do we get those brackets that you have for locking the arms in place and the coolers in place and is there a place to order all of that stuff from one site
@aladrasullivan9018 Жыл бұрын
Lol them little locks aren't going to keep them coolers from popping out! 🤣

Just wondering what you use 2 coolers for? Obviously one has drinks and lunch, I assume the other would be a live well? Atleast that’s how I would want to utilize 2 coolers, I’m just wondering if the live well side causes the canoe to lean due to weight and water volume causing the cooler to ride lower? Excellent work just want to ask that question before investing the time for the purposes of use it for.
@FFHTV Жыл бұрын
Hi Tim and thanks! I don't use the cooler as a live well so I can't say if there would be an issue with the canoe leaning to one side but I would venture to say that there is the possibility that it may lean unless you had some weight on the opposite side to help offset and balance the weight. 😊👍

Where did you get your brackets from the ones for the cooler and the ones that connect the PVC to the canoe?
@FFHTV Жыл бұрын
They are 3d printed clips and brackets of my own design. 😊👍

do you think this would work on a kayak, using barrels?

I don't see why not... Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. 😊👍

What did you use to attach the pvc to the canoe?
@FFHTV3 жыл бұрын
I used scotty style T tracks mounted to the gunnels of the canoe where my custom 3d printed pvc tube clamps attach using toilet bolts.

Love it! Inflatable’s are kind of a pain in the ass and I’m always worried about losing air. About how fast can you go with a 40 pound thrust trolling motor? Thx mate!
@FFHTV2 жыл бұрын
Hi Alan and thanks! If I remember correctly the last time we were out on the canoe we were using a Minn-Kota Endura 30 trolling motor we clocked our fastest speed at 8 mph. 😊👍

@@FFHTV wow thats fast! Do you member what kind of battery you were using I’m trying to get long range.

Thanks for the comment! 😊👍 I'm sorry I have not replied to you sooner as I'm actually trying to look and see if I have a possible copy of the original files somewhere as many of my recent designes including these got lost to a corrupted hard drive otherwise I would have to design it all over again which will take a while to do.

For $500 you can find a much better canoe used. One that doesn't weight 98#.
@FFHTV3 жыл бұрын
True - but after six months of searching I gave up because from the many that I did find none had the paperwork required to get it registered. Since I had always planned on running a trolling motor, here in Florida, you are required to register the canoe if motorized. That's when I decided to just go with a new one. So far I have been super happy with this canoe as it has met all my expectations regardless of its weight. 😊👍
