George, I am so sorry you are also now on this grief journey...you are right about "first steps". May they be small, and in a forward direction. Be patient with yourself. It can take a long time, and keep in mind, no two journeys follow the same path. May your Dad rest in peace.

I had a bit of a giggle, whe you said your parents are helping you find the right direction, because my mum, god love her, had no sense of direction, and I'm pretty sure would have me all turned around! It's actually in our DNA that we have no sense of direction 😂 I'm glad your parents know Ireland enough to show you the way 😊 I love how you show that you're stopping to talk with the locals. That Irish hospitality is so lovely. I'm several generations removed from Ireland, but my Gramma (I think she was 5th gen Canadian) taught me well.
