thank you so much for sharing this. I just had my second boy but first C-section on November 10th and am still getting over it myself. It was by far not a smooth one or a smooth recovery. I was crying with you all through this. What should have been one of the best days of my life turned into one of the worst weeks of my life. Your not alone in how you are feeling. ❤

aw honey, don't feel like you can't cry. I cried for weeks after my traumatic labour - it's a massive deal. Keep talking to people, I believe it really helps. And congratulations - he's gorgeous xx

Congratulations! I was wondering how you were doing the other day. I think you did wonderfully! Wanted to give you a big hug when you started crying. If you'd consider it, could you do a video on all the baby kit you bought, what brands you went for, especially cots, Moses baskets ect. There's so much choice and would be helpful to see what you'd gone for.

Our labours sound so similar! My baby was stuck as his head was on a funny angle and was swollen too, and I ended up with a c section after 40 hours of my labour not progressing. My boy was even born at 22:19 so almost the same time! But Congratulations! You're doing a brilliant job xx

i had an long labour resulting in emergancy c section also. i 100% felt all theese emotions your describing aswel . i never ever anticipated a c section i always imagened this wonderful moment of giving that final push and being handed your baby and feelimg that rush of love like you said..how ever i also felt none of that i was exuasted , shaking from the meds , and i also thought my baby was beautiful but she just seemed like anyones baby and she didnt feel like mine at all. i really struggled with that i felt so let down by my birth experince and it really affected the bond i had with her and to this day it makes me really sad becoz it affected me for a very long time and i felt like i missed out on a lot. glad your both here safe and sounds tho and enjoy this time becoz it goes so quickly :( hes beautiful x

mother vlogger yes 100% to all of what you're saying, I also feel really emotional that if I have another I will probably have to have a planned c-section as I don't want to risk another emergency one. I am so jealous of people that give birth naturally!!

Or bless you. I was in labour with my son for 38 hours as he was back to back and when he was born, I was crying and didn't know why. My midwife said its just your hormones as your body doesn't get back to normal for a couple of weeks. As long as your baby is healthy and happy that's all that matters x

You're allowed to cry. You're allowed to feel emotional. Labour is such a personal experience. Don't feel like you need to defend the way you feel.

Your labour sounds so similar to mine with my first! Mine was 32 hours and I was stuck at 2cm for houuuurs. I ended up with an episiotomy and ventouse delivery (ouch is all I can say haha) and lost lots of blood too. I was basically useless for the first week :(. I was terrified of having the same experience when I got pregnant with my second, but thankfully my labours couldn't have been more different! xx

I can completely emphasise with you. I was in active labour for 24 hours (had contractions before that but wasn't classed as active) and ended up in an emergency c section. However I had to be put to sleep as I felt the incision when they made the first cut. (my worse nightmare coming true!!) I'm guessing the epidural had worn off slightly or my body just wasn't accepting it anymore (despite the top up AND a spinal tap). I'd personally never want a c-section again purely because i just felt so useless trying to care for my LO. And the pain after was unbearable. I almost cried when you started crying because i know how tough it was! And how exhausting it is too and to not feel that 'rush'. I didn't see my LO four hours later too as he had to be resuscitated as he took too long to get out and was exposed to too much general anaesthetic. Sorry for the long comment i just wanted to share that you're not alone and I'm sending lots of hugs! Your baby boy is absolutely beautiful xxxxx
@Semapho0ore7 жыл бұрын
if you have high pain tolerance level why did you ask for epidural? Congrats on your baby.
@FlourishinMotherhood7 жыл бұрын
Semapho0ore I think I explain why? I had non stop contractions and a 39 hour labour - I was exhausted and needed the epidural to get some sleep!

I had an emergency with my 1st after 18 hrs labour and so you really were left for a long time before they made the section call! are you having a planned section this time around? I also bonded perfectly after all of my sections. My 2nd planned section was a million miles better than my emergencyt xx

I'm currently going to try for a VBAC (Im 37 weeks pregnant at the moment) but I am quite open to it changing to a section. Thank you for your comment. Always like to hear from other mums who know what its like!
