Thanks Elliot… As I write this I can’t help to think how embarrassing it is for a 50 year old, middle aged, Korean man to comment on a you tube video from a 20 something - that statement not only makes me feel old but old fashion as well. In 2018, I started out watching your Vanderbilt day in a life video to gain some insight into colleges for my oldest daughter who was applying to colleges. And lately, I’ve turned back to your videos as my youngest daughter will be getting ready to apply to colleges, but I forgot you graduated already. The truth is…I realized that I’ve been watching more for myself than for my kids. I guess watching your content brings back memories of my college years and my 20’s. Just wanted to say that I appreciate your courage, creativity, and humility.

I have gone to the same small private school since first grade. My graduation is on Wednesday, and it will be the last time I see some of my friends I’ve known forever. They literally felt like family and even the teachers are almost like friends. Yesterday we went on a trip together and on the way back I started to cry. I never cry and especially not in front of people. This hit home so much and was exactly what I needed. Glad to know others are experiencing the same

Everyone says high school is going to be greater than middle school but for me I think middle school years were probably the best years of my life so far. Everyone at school is so nice, there is so less bullying and the ‘bullying’ is just jokes everyone is making with each other. This popped up in my recommended and I watched the whole thing though...made me so happy. My college years were both some of the worst and best of my life. I almost ended my life because I was being so severely bullied on my college campus, which caused me to drive to and visit my boyfriend (now my future husband!!) on his college campus incredibly often, which resulted in me meeting his roommates and friend group. From there, it was history. I have some of the best friends I never imagined I would ever have, they literally saved my life, and we hang out every week despite having graduated over 5 years ago. @@assassin7250 Most Universities have a shit load of opportunities for students to interact. Things like movie night under the stars, polynesian club luau, study jams, open mic nights, video game wars, relay races, recreational activites like hiking or camping, volunteer at the campus food pantry, whatever. If you see it or hear about it, just do it. No what-ifs. Just go do it. A lot of people end up graduating regretting that they didn't make an effort to get involved and form memories. Sometimes there's a student events team on campus that coordinates it all and you can subscribe to get emails about what events are going on through the year. But especially take advantage of the events in the first few weeks because literally nobody knows anyone and everyone shows up alone. It may be harder if you wait until everyone already has their friend groups and you feel alone at the events.

I’m happy you had an amazing college life, your videos make college look fun as heck while my college life is boring, studying 24/7 because I’m STEM, no friends, and me feeling like I can’t wait to graduate college just so I can leave😂😂 but your videos of you having fun and being happy actually made me happy even when I was sad and stressed from school. I am a senior in high school right now and I'm going to be going to college. Videos like these make me so excited for the coming four years. I've created an image of myself as someone who is incredibly quiet, shy, and someone who just simply represents a background character. I've been feeling like I've trapped in a prison cell because of the image I have been living up to for 12 years. I'm going to try my best to embody the person who I have always wanted to be once I reach college. Videos like this give me hope that I am not getting excited for nothing.

I tried to change who I am, but then I won't have friends who love me for me.
